Little Cadillac
I love this machine, It is still a very simple, straight forward machine without a lot of perks, which is just what I needed and wanted, It really is just the step up from my other little Singer machine, I call this one my Cadillac machine, It is exactly like my Singer only better, better quality machine, goes a bit faster , better stitches, and just a dream to "drive" hahahah Think you will love it if you are just looking for a very simple straight stitch machine with a few extra fancy stitches, and the price is a very good price,

Nice little machine
Nice machine. Great tension which is always tricky with a cheap machine. Not loud and plenty of doohickeys for many applications. Bobbin is a bit whacky. Not easy to snap in and I need to hold a long thread sticking out when starting because of said bobbin. But it suits me fine. Can't beat the price. I used to have a 1030 Bernina when I did a lot of sewing, but gave it to my daughter now that I only do household sewing. It's not a 1030, but i like how light it is and I know how well Bernina's are made.

Warning: 110V Only – Not for International Use
The product only supports 110V, while the standard voltage in my country is 230V.It cannot be used without a heavy and impractical transformer, which makes it basically unusable here.Unfortunately, this important detail wasn’t clearly mentioned in the product description.

Bernette is a good brand and this machine does a decent job.
What can I write that just parrots what has already been said. This is a "foundation" sewing machine. It is not full of fancy embroidery/computer stitches. It has all that you will need save a serger, if you want that. The machine is a bit noisy but it has all the features that I grew up with and a bit more. I was looking for a mechanical machine to replace my old kenmore. I am used to manually altering the tension both to the feed dogs and the bobbin thread, so the seam actually joins in between the layers of material. I can do that on the bernette but not with a juki exceed.I have a fancy juki exceed that i don't use as much as this one. They are almost alike when it comes to finished seams. The buttonholer on the juki is better.... that is why i sometimes use it rather than the burnette. The burnette can do double/triple thread seams finishes if you get the proper needle and thread it correctly, but the underside of the seam is not very attractive, but the same applies to the juki. I have a brother cover stitch machine to do that.Bottom line: i recommend this machine for those of us who want the quality finishes we use to get with the old mechanical/metal machines. A beginner could get something close without the features but easier to use and less money.

Great sewing machine
I really like my new sewing machine! I'd had an ancient Elgin cast aluminum machine from the 60s before this (which was still running like a champ--it was just too heavy for me and I couldn't find replacement parts anymore). This is a great budget machine, and I inaugurated it with piecing a quilt, and it did a great job. It's maybe a little louder than some other models, but that's fine for me. I also really appreciate that this machine doesn't have anything computerized in it--I don't need all that, and the computerized machines seem to break all the time and cost a fortune to repair. And it's so light I can put it up on a shelf in my closet (unlike my old 37-pound behemoth that had to sit on the floor).

Good, user friendly sewing machine
All in all I am happy with this machine. I wanted a good machine and did not want or need 300 different stitches. I think the machine is user friendly; the manual is easy to follow for set-up which I was dreading and turned out to be easy. I sewed on denim with no issues, . Of all the choices I looked at and considered, I think I made a good decision buying this. The stitches are consistent and strong.
