Ambient Weather WH31P Water Proof Thermometer Probe Sensor

Has been working nicely. It is in a shed to monitor temps for plants in winter. So much nicer than having to walk or in the cold to check.

I bought this to monitor my garage because that is where I do my 3d printing. This works very well and was easy to hook into my weather station console.

Seamless integration into existing WX stations.

Purchased a new Ambient Weather WH31P sensor for my pool to replace another WH31P sensor that was damaged when inserting it in the WH31-SRS Solar Shield I purchased to protect the WH31P from the rain and direct sunlight. Sensor works great except in addition to showing the water temperature in the Ambient Weather app on my phone, it is also showing a 'Humidity' level, the 'Dew Point', and 'Feels Like' readings, which it isn't supposed to display. I emailed Ambient Weather support on 2/20/24 to find out how to get rid of the other readings, but the only thing I've gotten back from Ambient was the ticket number (101794) they opened. I like the Ambient Weather products I have, but their support for their product is lacking if you need help.

[WH31E Thermo-Hygrometer model] Almost didn't buy this because of a review saying the box claims it's only good down to 40F. That's a misprint on the box. The box has the Celsius value correct as -40, plus all the manufacturer's info on their own web site says -40 (with lithium batteries; alkaline battery chemistry doesn't work well that cold). Anyway, the device works great and connected immediately to my WS-5000 station.

Ambient Weather is a well trusted manufacturer of accurate and persise weather data. This Thermo-Hygrometer is no different. easy set up. pared with my WS5000 weather station instantly. I like the fact that you can install up to eight of these sensors into the WS5000.

Works as advertised! I installed lithium batteries and it the WS-2000 base station recognized it immediately. I installed it in our crawl space to monitor temp and humidity. Satisfied with the add on so far and without issue. I do recommend

The outside of the box clearly states the temperature range to be minimum 40 to maximum 105 degrees Fahrenheit. However Amazon states the following: "The Ambient Weather WH31E Thermo-Hygrometer Sensor has an indoor temperature range of 14 to 140 °F and an outdoor temperature range of -4 to 140 °F when using non-lithium batteries, or -40 to 140 °F when using lithium batteries." Did Amazon send the wrong temperature sensor, or is the temperature range listed incorrectly on the Amazon website? This remote temperature sensor does me no good outside in Colorado winters! It's not worth (my time) sending it back for a refund - NOT HAPPY!

Great easy to use works well. Come to expect good quality from Ambient weather. There tech support needs an upgrade though when issues with all tech as will always arise

Easy to setup and sync to my WS5000 receiver, instructions are concise and easy to follow. Use to measure pool water temp. Set dip switch to required units and channel number, insert batteries and the receiver immediately registered it's readout.

I bought this to use in my sauna. I already have the ambient weather station and a second temp probe. It hooks up fine and works but what is missing in specs is that it only goes up to 140F (60C) so not suitable for a sauna. I will find another use for it.

Two bad ones out of three. Ether they don't transmit well or the readings change little.
