It's not the greatest mic on the planet, but it dose the job, it's good for the price, and it's a significant upgrade from what we were using before. Putting it on top of a Kleenex box fixed the problem we were having where it wasn't picking up the person at the head of the table as well as everyone else. Our theory was her laptop was interfering with the sound, and elevating the mic gave the sound a straighter path.

This conference microphone is made out of metal, not plastic, so it's very sturdy. It's a little heavier than I expected, which actually makes it more stable; and with the padding on the bottom, less susceptible to unwanted noise from the table. It's small enough to carry around in my backpack and use for a small conference, say 2-8 people sitting around the table. Unlike trying to use someone's laptop mic, everyone is heard at equal volume, and the sound quality is significantly better. I didn't want a speakerphone because that would be too big to carry around, and in a small conference, my laptop speakers work well enough. I just plugged in the USB cable and it worked right away. I think this is a great value for the price.

This is the exact same generic mic that for example is being sold as XIIVIO brand for $39. I bought these for bout that price. I know because I bought both mics and when plugged in they both show up as "UM-2". Also the mic specs sheet is the exact same.The mic works well for our purpose. We are using them in school classrooms for zoom purposes. It can pick up the whole classroom. It works similarly to other more expensive models such as the XIIVIO or the TONOR. We tried many different mics on amazon and they all performed similarly, but this one was the cheapest.Another feature we liked about this mic is that it is ON by default. This is helpful because we mounted these mics on the ceiling. For example, the TONOR mic is OFF by default, so every time you plug it into the computer, you had to touch the button on the mic to unmute it, which would not work in our scenario since the mic is mounted in a hard to reach place.

I bought this mic because I recently bought some good headphones to game/listen to music and it didn’t come with a mic. I came across this one in a search for an external mic.Overall the product works as intended, it picks up my voice perfectly fine where I have it by my keyboard. My friends say my voice comes in clear in discord and they haven’t alerted me of any annoying noises coming from my end (trust me they would be brutally honest lol that’s why I like them).I can swear it even does a good job of not activating if I cough or sneeze etc and although I have it right next to my keyboard, it does not activate to the sound of my keys. Good stuff.

Maybe it's because my laptop has an external camera plugged in that has a microphone built in, and maybe I just don't know how to adjust the audio settings, but I've been messing with this for the last half hour and it's still not working. The only time I was able to get it to work, it gave me EPIC feedback over my laptop speakers.All I wanted was an external speaker so I could hear better that I was through my laptop standard speakers, and to be able to talk back, and I still can't get any sound to come through this external speaker. What's the point of using it as a microphone only if 1) I already have a microphone and 2) I can't get it to function as a speaker?I'll give myself another day or so to restart things and play around some more but if I can't get it to work, I will have to return it. It's definitely not just a "plug and play" speaker for some people; I guess I'm one of those lucky ones that can't get it to work by just plugging it in.
