Rainbird thought these out well when they designed them.First of all the have a small Locking piece that closes over the top so the tubing wont pop out/up- and out.The stake itself has a 'cross' cross-section, so it stays in the soils betterAnd it also includes a 1/4" filter tip for your tubing. This slides over the end of the tubing and acts as a screenpreventing mulch, dirt, insects, etc from jamming back up into the tube.See attached photo)They seem to be a little - slightly- thicker than others so they can be pushed on harder.They are a touch more expensive than the other brands / Big-box store, but IMO, very well worth it!Note! The drip emmiiter, nor 1/4 stub tubing in the photo do not come with these.
