It works, but ...
Good news is that I tested it with known levels of CO and it appears to be accurate.The purchase was more than a little disappointing. The info can only be read at a very narrow angle, maybe about 35 degrees from the horizontal pointing towards the user, that's not just the optimal angle for viewing, it simply can't be read without the right angle and there's a very narrow plane where the display can be read.The unit comes in a two piece plastic shell that can be opened in a nondestructive manner.Mine had obviously been opened and returned, there were no instructions and the place for the batteries was empty. The previous purchaser had kept the batteries and failed to put the instructions back in.Maybe I got one with a bad display and the previous purchaser was a jerk but I would recommend getting another model from another manufacturer.

I question the accuracy.
Easy to use, not too thick but I question the accuracy. Thermostats say 69 degrees, meter claims its 78 degrees.
