Perfect shoes for my daughter’s Halloween costume!

These shoes were the perfect addition to my daughter's Halloween Dorothy costume! I had read in the reviews that they run small, and my daughter wears a 9 or 10 depending on the brand so I went with an 11 and they fit great. Not too small, but big enough for her to have some room to grow. I had also read about glitter flaking off, so before she wore them, I sprayed a few coats of a clear gloss spray on them and that has seemed to do the trick. The glitter hasn't flaked off at all and she has worn them multiple times. The ends of the strap were slightly frayed when they arrived (which was another complaint I also read about), so I gently ran a match along the ends and that stopped the fraying and you can't even tell that they were fraying in the first place. I looked all over trying to find the perfect Dorothy shoes for my daughter and I am so happy with these! They are so cute and I love that they have a strap. They are better than anything else I saw online or in stores!

These shoes were great. I bought them about two years ago for my granddaughter and she’s still wearing them. Some glitter has fall off, but they’re not in bad condition. Definitely would recommend.

These shoes are very cute! They are truly glittery and built solidly. The soles are a tan rubber with grip so the shoes won't slide out from under you. They are very stiff and seem to run about one size small. My daughter wears a size 12 and the size 13 fits perfectly with her toes near the tip of the shoe. I ordered a size 1 and added insoles to them, so the shoes would last a bit longer and this worked out fine. My daughter LOVED them and wanted to wear them immediately. First I wanted to secure the glitter as it does seem somewhat "unsealed" as though it could come off especially in areas where the shoes bend, or in the toe area. I mistakenly took the advice of one of the reviewers to use gloss "Mod Podge" on the shoe to secure the glitter. Although the Mod Podge definitely seems to seal the shoe BE WARNED that it instantly dulls the metallic quality of the glitter! The shoe with no Mod Podge brilliantly sparkled, while the one with the sealant looked covered with a shiny coat of plastic and lost all it's sparkle. I ended up giving the shoes a second coat of Mod Podge and immediately dousing them in red glitter (while the spray was still wet) and patting it down with my fingers. This brought back the sparkle and sealed the glitter beneath. So far the glitter is holding but shoes only have light wear. Use Mod Podge/sealant at your own risk - it completely changes the look of the shoes! It may be a better idea to patch bald spots as needed using this method, than to dull the shoe overall. If you are not concerned with high sparkle, but more with setting the glitter tightly then use this method. Your shoe will be more glossy than glittery.

They're adorable and perfect for my daughter. She wears them all the time. The little heel isn't too much, the glitter sheds some but not too much, and a size 9 leaves just enough growing room so we can hopefully wear them for at least a year.

We went to Washington DC to see the real ruby slippers and he demanded that they take them out of the display so he could wear them. But they were selling the shoes near by but at 50$. So I promised he could have some just like them and this is what we bought. He rarely takes them off they are nonslip and durable. Good buy!!

This is my second pair of these adorable shoes. After reading the previous reviews, I ordered them one size larger to compensate for the issue with them running small. My 3 yr. old grandaughter normally wears a size 8. The size 9's were actually too big but wearable. After only one day of wear, one of the heels broke off and the shoes had to be returned. That process was extremely easy & hassle free. I then reordered them in a size 8. They fit much better & she still has a little growing room in them. As far as the sparkles falling off, I sprayed them with 3 coats of mod podge and they're holding up beautifully! My granddaughter would live in them if she could. She loves the heel and says they are her "magic shoes"!

My daughter wore these as part of her Halloween costume for Dorothy. She absolutely loved these shoes, and they held up very well for the costume effect. Obviously not a product to be used daily and stay in perfect shape, as would what shoe anyhow? Anyone who has young girls and has ever purchased a glittery accessory, be it shoe or otherwise, will understand how the glitter does not stay on the product PERMANENTLY, but these held their sparkle and shine for a great amount of time. I do have to say that I purchased one size up for my daughter after reading reviews of them being a bit too small to size. This was true for my daughter as well, although not too much. They fit for the purpose, and we were very pleased with the purchase! I would recommend these.

I bought these for my daughter who was turning 6. She loves them and has worn them every day for a bit since she opened them. I don't see any signs of redness on her feet from them. She has narrow feet but they are not too loose on her. I am seeing glitter all round the house and some has worn off in places where it rubs as she walks, like the edges of the bow. I will touch that up with a red permanent pen. These really are magical shoes, I am very happy with them.
