Why is 4 to 6 so more expensive then the bigger sizes it doesn't make sense!!!

Some company's seem to make up prices as they go. I got this for my 10 year old nephew, & customized the heck out of it. I made a proton pack from 10mm eva foam (light & strong). printed an iron on decal in the correct font to put his name on the chest. This served as a great base for the whole thing.

Why is the 12+ size labelled teen boy?????
