These seem to have helped maintain my iron levels. While in the hospital, my iron was so low they had to give me a transfusion of whole blood, then another of just the iron componeent. I've taken 3 of these every day since then and feel good with lots of energy. It took about 2 weeks, so don't expect a quick boost, it takes time.

Excellent but expensive

This is not gentle on the GI system, as advertised. It caused me GI problems such as upset stomach, bloating, digestive pain, cramps, and diarrhea. I used it once (one tablet) and had those symptoms and side effects. No better than regular iron supplement. I don't recommend it. Won't buy it again. Also, it is very pricey. Waste of money as I have 59 of 60 tablets left over and unreturnable. They need to offer a starter bottle with fewer tablets to see it is tolerable, and maybe offer lower potency tablets. Also, they are transitioning from old formula to new formula with fewer binders and no red dye, but there is no way to specify you want the new formula. They shouldn't be selling the old version without specifying you want the new version. They just want to get rid of their old supply. The bottle doesn't say it is the new version or the old. No way to tell except to compare ingredients online. Even the new formula contains a whole large list of ingredients, in addition to heme iron.

I'm a post gastric surgery patient and my ferritin went from 8 to 54 in just weeks! I've been taking 3 tablets a day. I was referred to hematology for iron infusions but now I'm just going to continue taking these supplements. No gastric issues with these either.

The product gets 5 stars. I was looking for a halal heme-based iron supplement which I wasn't sure existed. I came across this brand on Amazon and was excited to try it. I have yet to get blood work done but I'm already feeling a lot better (I have really low Ferritin, 12!) It does not make me violently sick like most non-heme pills do. I wish the coating on the pill was smoother for easier swallowing but like the fact that it is small in size. Bonus points for being Canadian! Halal Certified: for those who want to know, I contacted the pharmaceutical company myself and was provided proof that it is certified from Canadian Halal Food Certifying Agency (CHFCA). Bovine source is Cow and the organ used is Spleen. Not sure why Amazon did not allow me to post the picture of the certificate. You can contact Pharmaris, the company that makes it and ask for it, they replied to me very quickly. EDIT: After consuming 4 bottles, my ferritin went from 12 to 53! Could not be happier. Will keep consuming until desired goal is reached.

I have a rare blood disorder called: Alpha Thalassemia Trait. And I have tried many different kinds of products over the years. I also had to get iron I fusions administered to me via the hospital. Now, it has been about 2 years or so that I haven't had to do this, because of your products. This product was the only one that my body, my hemoglobin, and blood cells could absorb. My stomach also is able to tolerate this product as well. Thank you
