Ordered this to hold my heater tank for inside my golf cart. It's plastic, but well made and very stable. To give myself a little more security, I mounted it on a piece of wood so I can sit it on the floor of my cart and adjust the heater head as I need to. Works great and I'm so glad I got it. Sure helps keep the cold in check when using it while golfing.

Does excellent, it helps so when you are cooking it doesn't tip over. Does awesome

Good quality

I like the overall design, the 4 feet swivel outwards (each held on with a single screw into the base) and come back in for easy storage. This does fit the Coleman brand propane tanks I have tightly. It holds a Mr. Heater Little Buddy heater and a small stove I have just fine. With the feet out it seems plenty tip resistant. However, I'm deducting points for the cheap quality plastic. I worry that if the feet were bent just a little too far the brittle plastic would snap. I wouldn't rely on the feet to not snap off and send the thing to the ground with a harder bump. Perhaps I'll screw the whole assembly to something sturdier like some other reviewers. If this was priced more than 10 bucks I'd be disappointed.

works, this winter power went out had to use the propane tent heater in my trailer, this base worked fine.

Very stable

I bought this with the expectation that it was going to fall over it be unsturdy. I was wrong. It is rock solid and holds my little buddy heater up. Provides A wide base so you don't have to worry about your heater falling over. I highly recommend. Great product. Your 1 lbs. Cylinder slips securely into it.

This is not a complicated product and it seems well built but its design is flawed—or, rather, in need of an update. You buy this because you need to hold a propane bottle securely upright (I got mine to support a room heater). But, if you buy Coleman propane bottles (or from any maker whose bottles now have a plastic scratch guard on the bottom, you will find the bottles do not fit securely in the base. The base has indentations inside to allow the indented bottom of the bottle to mate and fit snugly (and securely). The plastic guard on the bottom of the Coleman bottles prevents the base from mating and the bottle now only fits in about halfway—not far enough to securely hold a bottle with an appliance (like a heater or a stove) screwed on top. In fact it actually makes things more precarious. Now, if you can remove the plastic guard from the bottom of the propane bottles, this base works great. But those plastic bases are very securely glued on and you'll likely loose a few fingernails trying to remove them. The real solution is a redesign of the base to remove those indentations. Given the number of years Coleman (and others) has been gluing plastic covers on the bottom of their bottles I'm surprised Stansport has caught up.

At first I found it kind of loose and tippy, until I removed the black plastic bottom from propane cylinder and then pushed the cylinder down until it bottomed out in base, the it was very stable. Excellent quality and I will use this for many years to come.

Got this for a new micro burner for supporting the propane tank and utensils, works great folds up, fits in one of my pots for easy packing, very stable, and still allows some tight adjustment of the tank for levelling. I would recommend this stand.

Keeps the tank upright for my Orca Propane torch and is more reliable than a bucket with some rocks.
