A great place to start learning about making wine.
A clearly written book by someone who remembers how it felt to be new at a hobby. The first pages set the tone for the whole book...you can make wine (ferment) almost anything to make wine.I learned about Jack Keller from his wine web pages years ago. It was my go to when I needed to understand something about wine making. Now that Jack is no longer with us, I am so glad this book came out with his wisdom and common sense approach for making wine. I highly recommended this book to all my fellow wine makers older and younger. It is so clear to read and it doesn't 'talk down' to you. It is a book I would recommend to all winemaker of any experience - newbie or old-hand. The book gave me information that filled in those empty corners of my current knowledge.

An interesting approach if a little random.
Seems a decent enough book and I love the anecdotes. Note that the author refers to US gallons throughout, which are 20% less than those that we used in UK, Astralia NZ etc.
