I recently purchased 30lb j-braid x8 and on the package it specifies the diameter as (0.28mm) whereas on daiwa.com 30lb mentioned as 0.20mm! why ?

I've been purchasing 30lb J-Braid for a few years. It's the only main line I use on the ten baitcasters I own. So believe me when say it's always been .28mm diameter. . I use to spool up 30lb Daiwa Samurai. It's there better line. It is smaller at .25mm. You don't get better than Samurai so that being said are you sure you weren't looking at a different pound test?

How many yards in the 80lb test?

The 300 meter spool contains about 328 yards of line regardless of what test strength is chosen. It's a great line, you will not be disappointed.

Jbraid 8 lb diameter is what actual lb strength

Holds about or up to 8lb of pulling power . 8lb braid is dental floss. You will be happier stepping up to 10-15lb mono trout / bass. Thin diameter so you can load up to reel of needed. 8lb is perfect for slab crappie / panfish / surfperch and such in my opinion
