Great but extremely minor defect (?)
This controller works great, and feels like high quality (as the price tag should reflect), and I haven't had any major issues yet. The grips have a sort of "sandy" feel to them (not made of rubber), it's very hard to describe unless you can get your hands on them yourself. It does provide a nice surface to hold on though, despite the way I've described it. All the buttons have nice clicks to them, and feel very responsive, and the D-pad uses clicky buttons instead of membranes, which I find to be an interesting choice, but it works quite well. The sticks are made out of a nice rubber material in the middle, while the outside rings have a nice textured feeling to them (much like the grips on the sides). One very nit-picky problem I found though was that the analog sticks wouldn't exactly "centre" properly (as shown in the video). The sticks felt like they kind of wouldn't centre properly unless I physically aligned them to be, but this issue does not affect gameplay at all from my experience. Another super small thing I noticed is that I have to press quite hard on the Xbox button for it to actually register, compared to other controllers, where it feels just like the normal buttons. If I had the skills to right now, I probably would swap out the sticks for better ones (such as hall effects), but hey, if it's not broken, don't fix it. Those 2 issues would not be a problem to me at all if I was thinking of buying this beforehand anyway, so I'd recommend this to anybody that just wants something that works. P.S. These controllers don't come with a cable, which for the price tag, you'd think they would... (2x AA batteries are included though)

Original is the best imo
I've had 2 of the more expensive Elite V2s which both developed the same issue and honestly you're probably better off with this basic one. If you want the elite style just get some interchangeable thumbsticks, and some adjustable triggers from eXtremeRate. (You can also grab a remap kit if you want back buttons but I didn't use those much truthfully.) I'd also suggest get a rechargeable battery pack they aren't expensive. Even if you are leaving the pad as is a battery pack I'd say is an essential add on worth getting. Battery life is good, especially with a pack. Connectivity to Xbox is flawless as it's made for that console. The colour is really nice on this blue although I may be changing out the white back for a black one as it's simple enough to do. I find the size is perfect, it's comfortable in hand and I prefer it to the dualsense tbh. I still have a working pad from my Xbox One so the value is pretty good. I gave a few away to people when I got my Elite and regret it a little but the base controller isn't that expensive especially on sale.

If you have a ps5..
Don't buy this, as it's an Xbox controller. Luckily, I have an Xbox, so I bought this!

Nice colour but I would buy the wireless elite 2 if you are a proper gamer
Nice colour, buy the wireless elite 2 if you are a proper gamer, before I did I bought so many of these which would always end up moving in a direction on its own and that kind of nonsense is unacceptable when you're having a gaming Sesh that requires perfectly tuned sticks and buttons. I have 12 of these controllers which can't handle the hours of constant gaming and wish I'd bought the elite 2 much earlier because they used to knock these basic controllers out for £50 +\- £10 over time. Elite 2 at £150 or less when deals on is not expensive when you've bought 3 basic ones that all end up in the same way after a couple of month's of real gaming Seshes. Like doing a 36-48-72hr no sleep gaming Mish with absolute concentration and focus. Elite 2 is a stronger and has a longer lifespan. Obviously the elite 2 will inevitably start to breakdown but if you purchase the 2-3yr insurance for not a lot you will be able to have a brand new one once it starts to fault, mine started to open at the seam which was disappointing but I had the insurance for 3yrs or 2yrs and was under 20 quid. That little bit extra supplies new elite 2 and comes standard with a new 12 month replacement.

Great remote
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ I’ve been using the Xbox Wireless Controller – Shock Blue for a few weeks and really like it. The Shock Blue colour stands out in a good way, the textured triggers and grips feel comfortable during longer gaming sessions, and pairing with my PC and Xbox was fast and easy. The new D‑pad and Share button are nice extras too. Only thing: it uses AA batteries (so consider a rechargeable pack if you play a lot). Otherwise, solid all‑round controller.
