Surprisingly, this was not the case. I found brand names that were new to me, in what I was told were fashionable bra styles. To my frustration and disappointment, none of them were what I really looked for.I don't use underwear to make a fashion statement. Bra ads to the contrary, this has never made a difference to my having a happy, satisfying social life or dating life. I simply like wearing the well-fitting, discreet, dependable, durable bras I've bought and worn for decades.The bras I found in stores lack a supportive band under the cups and around the body. They also have puffy, padded cups that are uncomfortable from the start and ride up as the day goes by. The newer styles were pricey and a waste of my money. I very soon gave up and tossed them in the trash bin. The one benefit I gained was once again being personally, privately fitted to determine my current, correct bra size. This matters because every woman's bra size changes over time.It's a pleasure to find my personal favorite bras offered at Amazon and at a reasonable price. I knew the exact size bra to order. Playtex provides the supportive band and padded straps I prefer. They're my choice for comfortable wear on long days at work, for travel, or for just kicking back at home. The front closure is also a plus. It's now easier for me to get dressed, not having to reach around to the back.** If the hooks or eye clasps need adjustment I would use a small, lightweight flat head screwdriver to carefully, slowly pry the the hook gap wider or use a small, light tack hammer to carefully and slowly tap the gap closer to the garment. I personally wouldn't attempt these slight adjustments or even attempt to connect the hook-and-eye fasteners while dressing without also wearing my eyeglasses. **Amazon, please keep selling this brand and product. I wouldn't want to buy or wear any other. Playtex 18-hour bras really are my personal favorite. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this bra bad *by M***Y on August 15, 2025* Love this bra it fits perfect it holds me and the sides are wide enough they don’t dig into my fat. Keeps my sides smooth in fact so the shirt is smooth. This isn’t expensive and as a plus I don’t have to go into a store to get it. I love this so much a year later I’m buying it again in a new color and tosses all my old bras. I don’t care much for lift I just need to be held but for it to not have any wires I think it makes the girls look good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best support ever but makes a high pointy shape *by S***Y on July 14, 2025* Lifts and mashes your breasts into the most oddly shaped coned uni-boob I have ever seen. Makes for a strange silhouette. It’s ok in an oversized T-shirt but wouldn’t wear it under anything else. Have to say it removes and smooths all your back fat and takes the side fat and moves it into the bra cups. The straps are ultra comfortable and the girls are lifted higher than I’ve ever seen them. But lifted a bit too high like the cones are sitting on a shelf and the shape is very pointy. Make look good on some folks depending on how your breasts are shaped. This bra offers a ton of support and actually carries my breasts. This is the first bra that has provided that kind of support. Maybe the shape will relax a bit after some washing. Ordered the bra in black and was worried about some of the comments. Glad to say I had none of the hook issues some posters wrote about specifically for the black bra; so maybe they fixed it. It’s a great bra just makes an odd breast shape on me. Otherwise I love it. My back and shoulders feel great in it and overall makes me look like I lost 15 pounds.
