## Overview

The Waring WTO150 is a powerful 1500-watt toaster oven featuring a spacious 0.45-cubic-foot capacity, perfect for baking, broiling, and toasting. With adjustable temperature settings, a 30-minute timer, and a dedicated bagel button, this appliance is designed for convenience and versatility in your kitchen.

## Description

Perfect as a second oven or as an energy-efficient alternative to turning on the full-size oven, this countertop appliance offers a large 0.45-cubic-foot capacity that can accommodate up to four slices of bread at a time. Its user-friendly control panel consists of three knobs. The top knob controls the function--choose from bake, broil, or toast; the middle knob adjusts the temperature up to 450 degrees F; and the bottom knob allows for setting the timer up to 30 minutes, as well as selecting the shade setting when toasting bread. Best of all, the toaster oven features a built-in two-slice toaster, which makes it possible to bake, broil, or toast in the oven while simultaneously toasting bagels, bread, English muffins, frozen waffles, and other favorites in the toaster. The toaster offers a simple lowering lever, its own light to dark shade settings with a "cancel" option, and a "bagel" button for warming the outside while toasting the cut side of bagels. Other highlights include 1500 watts of power, an "on" indicator light, a see-through oven door to monitor the cooking progress, and brushed stainless-steel housing for an attractive addition to any kitchen counter. A broiling pan and drip tray come included. The toaster oven and toaster measures approximately 13-1/5 by 30-1/5 by 9 inches.

Review: Waring WTO150 Toaster Oven/Toaster Combo - After many many days of reading reviews of different brands of toaster ovens and coming down to the Waring brand that offered what I needed which was no Teflon coating anywhere.. thank you Waring for this! Also, needed it to be somewhat compact but roomy enough inside. We have a small kitchen with limited countertop space in our house. Ability to have two units in one as my family still likes to use just a simple toaster since we just have a family of 4, and that is simple to operate with just knobs. This model fit the bill and after reading very helpful reviews. Thank you all who have put the time in to review! it was really a help. I was worried that the oven part of the toaster oven would be smaller than I wanted due to the attached regular 2 slice toaster part, but was pleasantly surprised, the unit is not to big, but not to small and we only needed a 4 slice capacity.. especially since you can toast with the toaster and the oven at the same time. The unit is simple to operate but do encourage reading through the manual because a nice surprise feature I read about that I saw on reviews that were negative was that the pan for the oven fits snugly and that you have to pull the pan on the rack out a bit before taking off the pan.. well the reason is... you don't even have to use the rack with the pan! In otherwords, the pan is made to use by itself, not sitting on the rack. You just slide the pan in the grooves at one of the two levels you need. It comes in and out easily. This is great as most toaster ovens.. you have to use the pan on the rack kind of like you do a regular oven, but you don't with this unit. Makes it very easy, so wanted to make note of that and that is in the manual instructions so I hope this is helpful and when others read reviews about the pan fitting snugly and not coming out without pulling the rack out to.. this is why.. you don't need the rack holding the pan. The pan is made to use by itself in the oven grooves. We had our previous toaster oven for over 20 years (yes... it was our college one!) so it was intimidating to look for another that met our criteria and after just one morning of use, the Waring stainless steel, no frills, easy to use WTO150 with the toaster combo is a great choice and I was glad to spend the extra money. For those that don't want the toaster part attached, there is a similar one exactly the same without the 2 slice toaster with the same features that is what I was going to get until I saw this one with the 2 slice toaster. Hope this review helps, especially for that specific info. on using the pan with this model.
Review: Never write reviews until you've had the item for a while. - Looks good. Worked ok for the first 6 months then the toaster side wouldn't stay down to toast no matter what the darkness setting. Started using the oven to toast our bread. After about 2 months, the bottom element stopped working and it would only toast on one side. I then started putting the bread into the toaster again and just holding the lever down until it was done. About two weeks of this nonsense and then only the inner toaster element would turn on so again, the bread was only toasted on one side. Waring was no help. So as an electrical engineer I did what I was born to do: I took it apart. 48,172 screws later . . . I found that the toaster carriage stays down because of an electromagnet that apparently was no longer being energized. Tracing that and the no-longer-working elements in the oven and toaster back to the only 2" x 2" circuit board in the whole thing, I found that R1 and Q2, (a resistor and transistor) were burnt on the board. Now at this point, I could probably figure out the values of those two components, order a couple replacement components online, de-solder the old ones, solder in the new ones, replace the 48,172 screws and the damn thing would probably work . . . for a while. The question is, why did it burn out after 6 months in the first place? That I can't answer and quite frankly my time is worth more than $108. So I'll keep the interesting parts and screws to use on other projects, throw this POS away, and buy a different toaster oven. By the way, I'd recommend you buy a different one too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great toaster and small oven
*by J***B on November 25, 2013*

I'd rate this a 5 for toasting and baking but only a two on the broiling. The oven I find works great, I have baked a meatloaf in an average sized loaf pan, cinnamon rolls in a round glass pan and sheperd's pie in a loaf pan and all cooked fine and didn't take much longer than a conventional oven (and certainly saves on electricity!). It toasts fine in the oven section as well as in the toaster section, better than my previous toaster oven where I had to turn the bread over half way through. But the broiler just does not get the food hot enough. I broiled a ham steak and found the ham barely warm, then next time tried broiling it with the door closed (the instructions say to leave the door slightly open when broiling) and it was a bit better, edible but not hot. It also doesn't broil a grilled cheese sandwhich as well as my previous toaster oven did. The heating elements go around the top and bottom outer (inside) edges of the oven so the crust on the bread got crunchy but the middle didn't crisp up at all. So if you are looking for a good toaster oven for toasting and baking this will fit the bill for sure. You can also toast 6 pieces of bread at one time using the slice side toaster and 4 slices in the toaster oven. UPDATE 3 months later - the side toaster lever will not stay down when pushed down to start the toaster so we cannot use this part of the toaster oven any more. I am super bummed, as even though the rest of the toaster oven works I cannot toast 6 pieces of bread any more or use the toaster and oven sections at the same time. I have to bring down my rating to 2 star as durability is obviously poor.
