Best Boots Made, and Most Comfortable...
This is my second pair of Ariat Work Hog Boots...not because the first ones needed replacing, they are still in fantastic shape after a year of heavy use. No, I simply wanted a black pair for variety, my other pair is brown. I wear a size 14, and until I found Ariat, was not really able to wear a western boot...my whole life I have tries several brands and styles and they always end up hurting the arch in my feet or my toes in some way...just never found anything that would fit right...I had actually given up on boots until one day in the airport security line, the guy in front of me had a pair of nice looking boots on that looked like they would be extremely comfortable...I started a conversation, and he spoke very highly of Ariat and indicated he had also had trouble finding boots...the next day I went to a local western store that carried them...I tried a pair on and being cautious after wasting so much money in the past, I wore them around the store for an hour. I bit the bullet and made the purchase...here I am buying another pair. This pair has a steel toe which I didn't intend to buy, and it was not in the Amazon on-line description...I was intentionally staying away from steel toes because I was afraid that it would cut down on the toe room, my first pair did not have a steel toe and was perfect. Well, I tried them on and to my relief, there was plenty of toe room...the front of the boot is a little taller than the non steel toe to allow for the same toe room. The black leather lower has a beautiful leather grain, and the thread colors in the upper are outstanding. Now I am glad they are steel toe as that gives me a little more protection. I'll say it now...Ariat is the only boot I will buy...they are great looking, well made, and last a long time. Thank you Amazon and Ariat!

You can't ask for more, for the money...great boot!
First-off, I'd like to express how funny I think folks on here are, with putting what is clearly a ton of foot-miles/hours on a pair of work-boots, and then trying to scam a set of replacements. Idiots that do that are why the rest of us have to keep paying more and more, but, if you're that petty...I laugh at you, where we ALL should be upset. No-one abuses a set of boots more than myself...I build custom trailers, which means I kick steel, weld and expose my boots to ALL of the inherent abuse typical of a fabrication shop. I also forge custom knives on the weekends...these boots get molten-steel, slag, tend to farm animals, and oh-yeah...are worn regular for off-roading. All this, and the last pair lasted easily 2 years, AND I could have pushed them farther, but they were looking real ratty, so on cosmetics alone, I parked them. This new pair are exactly like the last, save for not being broken-in. I know from experience that once I get a few weeks on them, they will feel more like an extreme high-top, pull-on sneaker, than a work-boot. The only other pair of boots that have felt this great, out of the box, is my Rocky S2V Tac boots. Are they the very best you can buy?...all subjective. But like everything else in life, if it's man-made, there will be examples that are genuinely flawed, and for those folks whose number came up, I apologize for my above criticism. All that said, these boots are worth every penny. I'm not a boot expert but, I'm 60 years old and have worked hard my entire life, and believe me when I tell you, I've had some turd-boots on my feet in those years...some, even made by big/popular brands, that beat my feet up, and didn't last half as long. Add to that I'm diabetic, and my feet are super sensitive to hard-points, pressure and abrasion...these things pass with flying colors. Add to that, I have a size 14 foot, and it's very difficult to get a proper boot in those larger sizes, which leads me to this next comment...definitely consider a size smaller than you normally wear; folks mention that, and it's a fact...at least, with the square toe. I can't attest to the others. I went with the 13 wide and I can easily, comfortably, wear a pair of insulated socks in these. Buy them. I hope they don't change a thing with these boots, as I figure I have about another 15 years of hard labor left in me...that equates to about another 7.5 pair of these, at this rate. About once every 6 months I clean them real well, and re-treat the entire boot. And people, if you're in a high-abuse environment, such as most construction, fab-shops and the like, a couple years out of a pair of boots is MORE than you should expect, no matter how much you spend. I guess if you just wear these to church on Sunday, and they let go at a year, maybe you have something to complain about.

My son loved them!

Love the feel! Sole wears quickly.
Great fitting boot! Feels wonderful on my feet. My only complaint is how quickly the sole seem to fall apart. The different colored parts just fall off and the rubber isn't as durable as i would expect for such a pricy boot. Oh and they do look great!

Best boots ever!
I have bought a pair and been wearing them since 2017. They have lasted me forever and still going strong. I have not been easy on them by any means. If there on Iโm likely doing work and not on concrete floors. Mud and water dust and dirt gravel you name it. The soles still have traction on them and the leather has no holes. I have replaced the insoles 3 times. All the stitching is still hanging on. Iโve been through many pairs of boots in the past and these just donโt quit. Inflation hasnโt seemed to affect the price to much either I paid $149 for them in 2017. Just felt like after wearing them all day again I should probably leave a review about them. Donโt hesitate buy the boots, I will if mine ever give out.

No feet deserve this outcome!! Is Ariat just fancy pants and lollipops??
CAUTION!! After owning 3 pairs of Ariat boots, it is a strike out for Ariat, in my book. Close to six months in on this last pair of Ariat work boots and without doubt, for me, there will not be another Ariat purchase in the future. (apparel included, but that's another review) Rather than blab, I will let a few more sentences and a photo say it all... My spouse is a Dr. & and has an above average background in skin issues. When I wear Ariat, in a few hours, my skin has a sever reaction. (I am one of those people who has no known allergies) I am a producer, both in a corporate role and more importantly and separately, I along with my partner run a 40+ acre farm. My foot wear is VERY important to my productivity. An Ariat CS representative (megan) responded with a cut & past form letter to the warranty request I had filed with Ariat online. I recieved a second cut & paste email from (megan) informing me that due to my not responding within an undisclosed time frame (7 days) that my case was closed. (In my warranty statement to Ariat it was very clear the issue was absolutely needing to be addressed. The product harming a consumers skin was VERY clear. These kinds of issues don't get closed Ariat, they get addressed) In conclusion it seems like for some reason any brand I find at Tractor Supply is WAY out of touch with the concept of a customer/business relationship. (And they keep going bankrupt) For me, I will not seek any further Ariat support or purchases. I have work to get done not an image to market Sadly the only pair of boots I can recommend to get the job done are combat boots and I don't wear those anymore. Good luck with your purchase If you got this far and are left thinking " that's a bit of babbling " your right. But after the foot discomfort, it is a fraction of what I want to say!

Great boot, good fit, looks good, I have no complaints!
Love this boot! In my current job I walk on an average of 3000 steps a day and some time 6000 steps (my iPhone tells me this) with no problems. I recently took a scout trip in 25degree weather and walked a 4 mile trail that morning with no problems. In very cold weather the sole seems to freeze or not want to bend very easily. This boot took about 2weeks to really notice a difference in the breakin. I had to send the first pare back because it was a little big. I normally wear 12.5 or 13's size shoe but ended up getting 11.5 size boots. Ended up going to a local store and try in a pare of boots to get in the ballpark of size. This boot seems to be the boot I will have for many years of use. Easy to put on and take off. No complaints. Updated: still working fine and have no problems. I have been in snow and rain and mud with no wet feet or socks. The mesh on the heel of the boot to make the easy off easy on function work is the only way for water to get in. That is about 5in above the heel.

Please understand these are not steel toed boots
I bought these for work. In the banner at the top of the page it says โwork hog, steel toed.โ That is not the case. Maybe it says that somewhere else on the page but at the top it said theyโre steel. I searched and found these under steel toed as well. Anyway, as it stands these boots were incredibly nice and comfortable. I bought the cream ones and dang did they look beautiful. I however had to return them. Depending on how quick the return is processed and how quick I can reorder some Ariats with steel toes, Iโll rate the 5 stars. The boots themselves were awesome. Just misleading when it says theyโre something that theyโre not. Especially for people who cannot afford nice boots often, and who need them for work. I now have to wait another week or more for new boots and will have to continue wearing my busted Tony Lamas with holes in them. Disappointed but the product itself was incredible

No steel toe
I received this boot it was exactly what I wanted but I needed a steel toe. It says in the product title that it is a steel toe but the boots that came are not steel toe. Seems like a lot of money to receive a boot that isnโt a steel toe.
