BRS40 4 Inch Replacement Car Door Speaker, 50 Watts

I purchased two BOSS BRS40 4", 4-ohm, 50-watt speakers for a cigar box speaker-amplifier project. I paired these speakers with a class-d amplifier capable of 30-watts peak/15-watts x 2 RMS. To ensure I had some punch in the bass of these full range speakers, I made a small port in my cigar box speaker-amp. I was surprised in the ample bass response coming from these speakers nestled in a 3.75 in. deep cigar box. The speakers arrived on time and in good condition. I would definitely recommend these speakers to family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. I think the price was good and the speaker performance is even better. I am going to purchase these again for similar size cigar box projects. Matter of fact I have two very nice Drew Estates Tabak Especial (Coffee Infused) cigar boxes sitting in my office that will be well suited for this speaker. Unfortunately, I have six other cigar box amps in line before them.

I ordered the 4" speaker to upgrade my A1U cabinet. The quality of the speaker is apparent when compared to the stock ones that come in these cabinets. The sound quality is great. More base and overall clearer sound. Just a heads up to those looking to upgrade their cabs. Check your speaker size before ordering. I have 3 cabs From A1U. Final fight, rampage and mortal kombat. Final fight and rampage are 4" speakers. Mortal kombat is a 3" speaker because of the button layout. I tried to turn it sideways to make it work. Its a little to big. It will stick out and you will not be able to put the control panel back in. I think a 3.5" speaker will fit in the Mortal kombat cab by turning it sideways and drilling new holes.

I bought two of them and one came with coil rub the other was fine but i really like the sound quality it's a good product for the price but easy install with the plates that come with it and it seems relatively reliable I can say it was hard to find a clamp for the wires altogether I'd recommend

Clearly these are not intended to be audiophile quality speakers. But they seem well constructed and work well for my application, as OEM-replacement rear fill speakers. I'm using them behind the seats in my BMW Z3 -- even though they are full-range, they're being driven only in a mid-range capacity by the OEM H-K amp. I'm pleased.

these are the cheapest speakers money can buy so far had them for a month and they sound 10000x better then my 20yo speakers that came with my festiva. If your looking for a replacement speaker for your beater upper and money is a problem get these they are not that loud and wouldnt recommend going too loud on these since they are dirt cheap. If your looking for a replacement for your 4inch speakers and you only got 20bucks then you wont be dissapointed. you can get 5 speakers for 25 bucks wayy cheaper then walmart. Pros-cheap, sounds pretty good, decent quality, looks good, cheap cheap cheap!!! Cons-might blow if you turn it too high, not for high end systems might blow once again,

The speaker sound quality is ok, but not full range as described. It lacks high end frequency. This was the only speaker I found on Amazon which fit flush inside my speaker enclosure. All other 4" speakers would not mount flush. They had a mid-range tweeter sticking out of the center of the speaker. They are just an old school decent speaker.

The price vs the quality of these speakers = great value. The paper cone speakers in my SONY Sports Boombox got rained on, then warped and sounded terrible. Based on their specs, these BOSS speakers looked like they would fit. Compared to the OEM speakers, these are more robust with a much bigger magnet. It took a little work to adapt the speaker mounts but the effort was well worth it. I now have a great sounding boom box with truly water resistant speakers. It now has a better frequency range, cleaner sound and higher power handling. These would make great fill-in speakers or to replace some bad 4-inch speakers. For the price you will be very pleased.

I bought this mainly due to the low cost, size and power that I needed, and "let's try it and see". I'm glad I did; this speaker has proved to have better overall sound and tone than other speakers I've bought of this type. I make "box guitars" (commonly referred to as "CBGs") and this works pretty well as a portable amp speaker. The price (at this time) of 8 bucks + free shipping is just right. Any more and it would start to get out of the hobbyist range. But as it is, the decent-quality sound and very reasonable price makes this an excellent offering.

車に備え付けのダッシュボードスピーカーの音ががっかりだったので 同サイズのこのスピーカーが意外に格安だったので購入 低音は満足のいく音でした。高音もう少し出てくれると更に良かったのですが 良く見なかった自分が悪かったのですがペア（２個）価格かと思って購入したら １個でした。（慌てて追加購入しました(^_^;)）

For the price, which is simply incredible, these are 5-star speakers. I picked up 2 for a home stereo project (bookshelf mini-speakers). They arrived incredibly fast and were clam-shelled for extra protection. See picture below for contents. Speaker is 4" square. The leads are marked, but it is really faint; I used a flashlight to read the polarities. Speakers were tested on a Pioneer amp. At 25 watts (4 Ohm impedance) they were clear, loud, and without distortion. The bass registers but is nothing to write home about. The woofer does pick-up beautiful midranges clearly and with an audiophile level not expected for the price. It is a dual cone, so the tweeter is is a whizzer that really can't pick up the high range treble and is mediocre, but passable. The next test was at 50W - likely overdriven somewhat (~55W). Sound output was very good; loud, mostly clear and unexpectedly crisp on midrange (with limited bass) - it played a house mix with boom. Again, the treble suffered; it started to distort on treble laden rock songs (despite the amp actively filtering the signal). Despite this distortion, the speakers are surprisingly good, better than expected, and at that price... need I say more?

Very good base for a cheap speaker very much recommend as good as a good set of speakers

Muito bom, veio bem embalado e sem avarias. Já instalei, ele vem com uma moldura para auxiliar a instalação.
