Thanks** A: No it does not beep. And it is amazingly accurate. I tested with nickels which weigh 5 grams each and it consistently showed that amount unlike my two other (Taylor and Kamenstein) scales. **Q: Hoe many minutes of inactivity does it take the scale to auto shut off?** A: The Primo scale will turn off after four minutes of inactivity to help conserve and extend battery life. **Q: Will this scale readout in hundredths of a pound? For instance .25 instead of 4 oz?** A: Unfortunately no. It gives three options: ounces, grams, or pounds and ounces. It does resolve the ounces to 1/100's of an ounce when in the ounce mode, and 1/10th of an ounce in the pound/ounce mode. It is extremely sensitive and repeatability is almost always perfect. I have compared it to known weights and found it to be extremely accurate. **Q: What is the weight range capacity for this scale? Other version say up to 18 oz. or 11lbs.. this one doesn't specify.** A: It is written on the back of my Escali : Model:P115CHCapacity:5kg./ 175oz.I never test the max. capacity and I can say 175 oz. is really really good enough for everyday use in kitchen and normal small parcel for mailing. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple to Use *by on Reviewed in Canada 5 June 2020* This is a great kitchen scale. Most of my recipes are in weight and this scale is perfect. Accurate, goes up by small increments, lightweight and looks good. Does what it is supposed to do. Treat it well and it will last forever ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just buy it! It's great! *by on Reviewed in the United States 3 December 2013* I bought this scale for soap making about 4 years ago, thinking I wouldn't use it for much else, but I use it all the time! It is small and fits right in the space on top of the microwave beneath the cabinets. It is accurate, reliable, cute and non fussy.I LOVE that it does not auto-tare when you lift off your container, and it doesn't shut itself off in the 20 seconds it takes you to go across the kitchen to open a new bag of flour or something. I used my mom's after owning and using this one for a while, and hers did both those things and it drove me CRAZY. It made me realize just how great this one is!Some things to note:- Do not use this thing near the microwave when it is on, of the numbers will go all crazy.- When i am measuring tiny tiny amounts of things, like essential oil for that soap making, if i add the drops too slowly it won't register them. It will stay at zero even after I am sure I have a few grams in there, and when I remove that bowl, put on a new one and tare it, pour all the oil in from the previous bowl, I will see my 3 or 4 grams. This thing is awesome. Easy to use, easy to keep clean, and the battery life is tremendous. I don't think I have ever replaced them in 4 years, and I use the scale several times a week! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 July 2026* An excellent set of scales. Sturdy and reliable. I’ve had it for 5 years and am so disappointed that a battery connection has become dislodged and cannot be reapplied. I’ve had to discard it ## Frequently Bought Together - Escali Primo Digital Food Scale Multi-Functional Kitchen Scale and Baking Scale for Precise Weight Measuring and Portion Control, 8.5 x 6 x 1.5 inches, Warm Red - Lavatools Javelin® Ultra-Fast 2-Second Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer for Grill and Cooking, 2.75" Probe, Compact Foldable Design, Large Display, IP65 Water Resistant, NSF Certified – Butter - Ateco Stainless Steel Cake Tester - 7 Inch, Set of 3 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/239707770-warmred-escali-primo-lightweight-scale-8-5-x-15cm-x](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/239707770-warmred-escali-primo-lightweight-scale-8-5-x-15cm-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
