The freshness is noticable, but not overwhelming. There's an almost comforting creaminess to the paste. Some people prefer a textured toothpaste, but personally I like the smoothness of a pure, white paste. Like brushing your teeth with the fresh snow of a calm mountain, or the foam of a saltless sea. There is a good amount in the tube for the price, but what is price when quality is so high? This toothpaste is not only a necessary household product...it is an experience. Good product that leaves your teeth feeling clean between brushing if you brush twice a day. Only downside is that the whitening element doesn't seem to work and it can leave your toothbrush smelling a bit like bleach.

I do use subscribe and save a lot, and have some very good orders in bulk that comes on my Amazon day. I liked the way the Colgate total was delivered actually in a full Colgate box. Inside five toothpaste tubes of the toothpaste. The current cost a one off of five tubes costs £9.93. If this toothpaste is genuinely one liked by all, it is cheaper to invest in S&S which brings the price down to £8.44 . This is what I pay now. Every toothpaste is 100ml and the taste is really nice, teeth feel very clean. Gargle with listerine after to kill infection. We use electric toothbrushes, but do have ordinary ones when battery flat. Toothpaste on an electric brush saves loads as a smaller round brush. So when using also on a brush manually just use the same amount. Teeth are super clean using this toothpaste, one of the best on the market, that is kind to the teeth and gums. On S&S works out currently just over £1.60 each for five. Yes could possibly get them cheaper from shops in my town, but check if made in the UK, I buy this way, because never have to think about it, always delivered on time each scheduled date. Reduces plaque, tartar, supports enamel, cavities, staining, breathe, gum issues. I always brush my tongue with my electric toothbrush, lots of germs come from the tongue. I have used Colgate for many years and, even after trying different brands, I always return to Colgate. I have never before, though used the Total. The price I felt was pretty good for 5 tubes and I was surprised to see that they were delivered in a purpose built Colgate cardboard box - very professional presentation. The tubes themselves are good quality with large, flip-top heads designed for the toothpaste to be stored on its head. Colgate makes numerous claims for this toothpaste and I am sure all have been thoroughly tested as true. I always use an electric toothbrush and so a 3 minute brushing session each time ensures a proper cleaning. The taste is a mild mint but quite pleasant, and there is very little mess because this toothpaste does not foam up as much as cheaper Colgate brands. All in all, I have been pleased with this toothpaste and the initial cleaning results. I have a long way to go before I finish all five tubes but I feel sure I will be making a repeat purchase of this product when the time comes. Colgate has always been good for me, and this Total formula does seem to be even better than I anticipated.

I bought these as they worked out cheaper than supermarket prices. I was actually impressed with how they were packaged it. I would purchase these again if they are still cheap.
