Perfect fit for my UPS, easy to install

When my APC UPS 450VA BN450M started beeping and flashing between green and red, and pressing the circuit breaker did not clear the error; I ordered this replacement battery. I read reviews about how easy it was to install, and I was encouraged that I could replace this myself. Just as others stated this battery was the perfect replacement. After I placed the order, I removed the existing spent battery and left the cover off. When this replacement arrived two days later, I spent all of 5 minutes plugging the color-coded connectors into the battery's color-coded terminals, slipping the battery into the UPS, and reattaching the bottom of the UPS. I powered up the UPS, and it worked with no flashing red at all. I plugged it into the outlet and again, no issues. In short, it was the perfect size, matched the OEM specs (AJC Replacement Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) AGM Batteries), and arrived fully charged. I saved at least $50 by replacing the battery rather than replacing the whole UPS. I recommend this battery.

This is a perfect replacement battery for my APC BN450M back-UPS unit. The swap is very easy. Remove the 4 screws (requires long thin Phillips screwdriver to access the screws), remove cover, slide battery out and remove terminals, replace with new battery, re-assemble. This was done in 5 minutes. This battery works great! Very satisfied with purchase.

Purchased Nov 2021 for my APC Back-UPS 450. Jan 1st 2026 the UPS finally gave the battery bad alarm. Just a hair over 4 years of life seems fine for me considering the price. Sure, it's a few dollars more expensive now than 2021 but it's still a reasonable purchase assuming a similar life span. I don't have a lot of power outages, maybe 2-3 a year. I use it to power my modem, router and switch. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Did its job and fit the model

Perfect replacement for my APC UPS 450 . The APC manual says this backup is not user serviceable, but if you can turn a screwdriver you can replace it. Unplug it. Pull out the yellow tab on the bottom which breaks the connection to the battery, it should stay attached to the bottom, Take out the 4 screws from the bottom corners with a small phillips screwdriver (about 5 inches long or longer, and thin) , remove the back, lift the battery out carefully and disconnect the two wires by pulling off with a small pliers. Put the new battery back in, make sure the red wire goes to the red terminal on the battery, carefully reinsert the battery, screw the back on, replace the yellow tab into it's slot and you're done. FYI, My backup started alarming and flashing a red and green light, could not reset or silence it, which indicates the battery is shot. When I pulled it and tested, it was less than 11 volts, so it was done. Original lasted about 3 years but we recently had about a month of power company problems where the backup was kicking in multiple times every day, that killed it.

My APC-450 was giving signals indicating that the battery was no longer holding it's charge, so it was time for a new one. On a whim, I checked Amazon to see if I could get a better price on a new unit. In the results of my search, this replacement battery came up, at a about 1/3 the price of a new unit. Why not give it a try? Shipping was fast (ordered Monday evening, received on Thur.), and the battery was an exact fit. Replacement involved removing 4 screws, and un-clipping the 2 terminals. That's it. Almost as easy as replacing a smoke alarm battery. Now I have a revived UPS that is actually a bit better than the original, as the new battery has 5.0 AH, where the original was only 4.5 AH. As rechargeable batteries only last about 3 years, swapping out the battery is a cost effective way to extend the life of your UPS. I wish I come across this product sooner.

The toughest part of the battery replacement is getting the leads off the old battery! Fit the unit nicely. MY UPC is still running months later with no issues. I need another battery for my other UPC and I will be purchasing it again from this company.
