Where has THIS device been??? I get gruesome migraine headaches from time to time. When I get them on the road I end up with some crappy ice pack made from a zip lock bag (which always leaks) held on with a bandanna. Not any more. I fill this small but real ice bag with ice, pull the elastic cord over the opening and wrap it exactly where I want it, as loose or as tight as I want it. There's even an elastic extension, presumably in case you wanted to wrap around your waist or back or something. This may have been around for decades but I didn't find it until a month ago. It works GREAT! Now, as long as I can find ice, some Imitrex, a dark room and about an hour, I can kill a migraine headache and get on with my day.

I bought this and the freezer ice packs at the same time for my son who has Osgood schlatter knee issues. I thought the ones that go in the freezer would be his favorite because he's a teenager and it's just easier to take it out of the freezer and strap it on his knee. I bought this one thinking it was a good backup alternative. Well- I was very wrong. This is the one he prefers. Here's feedback from a teenage basketball player;1- this one stays cold longer than the feezer ones. My son uses ice and a little water to keep it cold.2- the strap and the wrap is more comfortable. It just fits better and isn't too snug.3- it's more convenient. If you forget to put it in the freezer then you can still use it unlike the others.4- easier for travel. Take it in the car or on a plane without any issues or worrying about it melting. You can always get ice at a convenience store or a restaurant if you're traveling.

Sturdy strap, a tad short in length but workable. Best sized for legs and arms, a little tight for the torso. The ice bag is significantly smaller than the normal ice back, it holds a little over a dozen ice cubes, but the smaller size may or may not be a bad thing depending on what you want from your ice bag. Also holds hot water.

I am very pleased with this ice bag/wrap, I purchased it for my ankle, but I've also used it on my neck and lower back area. The bag is very small and that is what I needed, it stays cold for several hours (Please understand, I am using this inside my home only, which is cool, I have no idea how long it would stay cold/cool in a hot or warm area) the bag material is smooth, soft and feels nice on my skin. I would definitely buy this again.I often read reviews when trying to decide on a purchase, I am a little disappointed when I see 5 star reviews from others who have received free or deep discounts on an item, I typically start at the 1 star ratings now when trying to decide.I purchased this at full price, I did not and will not receive a discount for this review. The strap to hold the pack on is too short the only place I could use this ice pack is on my arm. Plus the seller would not let me return it I am stuck with a product I will never use

I bought this for implant surgery. I have a small head so I was able to adjust the strap around my head. It worked okay but not waterproof. Had to keep a towel ready as the melted ice ran down my face. This is with non stop use. When used for a normal length of time, it did not leak.

This is PERFECT for my daughter’s Osgood-Schlatter knee. It doesn’t cover a lot of space, think knee cap, elbow, ankle. But it is so easy to use. Fill up with ice, screw on cap, Velcro on the band and ice away. Afterwards, dump ice and let dry. It’s so easy to use and much better than my daughter using the plastic ice packs and forgetting to put them back in the freezer. Now we always have an ice ready to go.

The size and intent of this ice bag is great, however the strap that holds the ice bag in place began tearing almost immediately, around the opening.This was a purchase for a 5th grader with Osgood-Schlatter condition and was very convenient for school use while she was on crutches.
