Easy to put on, provided you have cleaned the item correctly. You must remove all oil and rust first, as this is not a metal polish; it is a top coat, corrosion seal. I redid my barbecue, first cleaning it with lacquer thinner and steel wool. I put on two coats, and it looks better than new. I also redid a rusty stainless-steel refrigerator using a random orbital sander and 400-grit sandpaper. Now my wife does not want me to take it to the dump any longer.

Le meilleur produit à ma connaissance pour mon travail de mettre une couche de finition sur mes bijoux artisanaux en cuivre.

I make coin rings and other coin-centric jewelry. And, if you’ve ever worn copper, you’re likely aware of the green residue around your copper adorned skin. This product is an excellent way to protect against corrosion and stops residue from getting on your skin. As a skin safe sealant, you’ll enjoy your copper jewelry for years and years. I usually apply two coats- waiting an hour between coats, and waiting a couple days to ensure full curing although the items can be handled after an hour of application. The sealant can be applied other materials needing a clear protective seal against fine scratches and leaching and to maintain its original shine/patina. Final coating is not brittle and has some flexibility. See the application types and directions on the can. Use in a well-ventilated area and read the safety information. PPE recommended.

Great sealant. Watch the YouTube for tips on applying the product. This company makes different types of sealants which I will try out in the future thanks to the ease and beauty of this product.

I used ProtectaClear on a brassy bathroom sink that gave me fits with its tendency to tarnish and stain. Cleaning it was living H__. Regular brass/copper/silver polishes wouldn't get it done. I'm ex-military, so I've had lots of practice. The only thing that would clean it up was applying a heavy-duty abrasive, which basically resurfaced it. My bathroom has two identical sinks. On one, I used Sink Wax; on the other, I used ProtectaClear. The wax was a lot better than nothing, but over time, it gave out, and that sink got new, ugly stains all over it. The wax might have worked if I had cleaned that sink and reapplied the wax every few months, but I have a life outside of sink cleaning. The picture shows the ProtectaClear sink after 3 years. It looks exactly like it did the day I applied ProtectaClear. I did go the extra mile on it. I followed the instructions to the letter. I did all the prep. I applied 3 coats. I was careful not to drop anything into the sink to avoid nicking or scratching. I kept a hand towel beside the sink. Every time I used the sink, I wiped it dry. That probably wouldn't be necessary in most cases, but my water is very hard and leaves spots on anything and everything when it dries. ProtectaClear repels water, so a half-second swipe with the towel was all it took. Maybe I didn't need to dry it, but I wasn't taking any chances. The smeared look of the sink surface is the result of having to clean it with abrasives. The ProtectaClear didn't cause that. I just spent two hours cleaning the other sink. (That's par for the course.) I'm about to apply ProtectaClear to it. I strongly recommend NOT buying metal sinks. If you get stuck with one, this is the best solution I've found.
