Will this treat Ick/white spots

This will not treat the freshwater Ich (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis) parasite. If you are looking at your fish and it is not the tell-tale pin-point ich spots, it may be a bacterial infection that the Melafix will be helpful with. It may be worth knowing that this will affect the marine form of ich (Cryptocaryon irritans). Need to know how much to use for a large pond. How many oz per 100 gallons?

Hi Kate, The label says to add 5ml/50 (10ml/100) gallons daily for three days when adding new fish. Use the same dose for 7 days when treating infections unless it's chronic infections, then you double the dose. It also says 1/4 cup for 600 gallons. Our pond is about 400 gallons and I used just under a quarter cup. Be prepared for the foaming but it does go away. We dosed in the evening and most of the bubbles were gone by morning each day. We have two streams with short falls running 24x7.  Hope this helps.

Can I use it on saltwater fish

YES! I have used this product for years with saltwater tanks, even at double dosage rate. That includes reef tanks, and the most severe reaction the corals have ever had was to close their polyps for an hour or two. Be warned, this medication will cause bubbles in the water temporarily, but they go away after a little while. Make sure you adjust the dosage for your tank, as pond melafix is a more concentrated form of melafix than regular or marine. If you have a small tank, I would just use either regular or marine strength.

WELL THIS Bottle only treats up to 4800 gal.  So it depends on pond size. and how many fish are in it.  Follow directions on the bottle...
