What if the hands are mismatched and not the same color as one another?

Thank you for your interest in Lipper International 1102 Acacia Salad Hands. As these salad hands are manufactured of real wood they are bound to have different shades. So, NO they are not mismatched. The walls of the wood are composed mostly of cellulose fibers, which give the wood its strength. The fibers are bound together with lignin, a glue-like substance and those chemicals turn the wood darker, giving it the characteristic color for the same species. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

This may be a silly question but how well do they work with fruit/fruit salad?

as long as the you cut the fruit bigger than the spaces on the fork , you are good to go.

Hello, thank you for your interest in Lipper International item 1102. These salad hands are made in Thailand. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and have a good day!

Are these finished or rough? Do you get two?

Yes you get the pair, exactly as pictured, They are finished, not rough, but you have to handwash after use, no dishwasher. The only bad thing was the barcode sticker on the back was impossible to get off and took several washes before the glue finally came off.
