This is an early review without the benefit of quantifiable user experience. After reviewing many consistent negative reviews on several $400 range recumbent elliptical trainers, I decided to invest double the amount for the LT3. I received shipment of the Teeter LT3 on 8/1/2026. The packaging was superb, well protected and well organized. The assembly was very straightforward and easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. All the small components (screws, nuts, etc.) were individually packaged and numerically marked to match the corresponding Step in the instructions. After decades of assembling complex Ikea items, this was quite a pleasant surprise. The materials are solid and the product is well designed. First impressions of usage are excellent. It is easy to adjust the seat for leg length and back position. Elliptical pedaling is very smooth and extremely quiet. The basic digital readout is adequate (time, speed, distance, calories). There is a placement holder for a pad. We’ve mounted a large screen TV for use during workouts. I’ll provide an updated review after one year of use.

Very little indeed to complain about with this product. Very solid throughout, with excellent assembly instructions. Yes, as many noted, some of the screws are difficult to thread correctly at first. Operation is as advertised; changing settings for different sized family members is quick and simple. By contrast the shipping, though fast, gave the impression that the box had fallen from more than one truck in its journey: compression bands all gone, edge tape badly frayed here and there, and some dents in the heavy cardboard. All's well that ends well! ADDENDUM: after a couple of months and many hours on the machine, I can say that it works well for me as a whole body exerciser. As a set of muscles gets tired, another set seems to fill in almost automatically. None of the major muscles are overworked; all get some work, with the partial exception of the legs in the front, as there are no cleats or straps to slip one's feet into and pull up with. Nevertheless I get a good overall workout. A very minor annoyance was a squeak in the arm bars which was easily fixed with some oil spray; now it is totally silent. Bottom line - I'm using it regularly, with no danger of injuring my ancient stiff joints.

I find the the Teeter LT3 enjoyable to use. I however have a few concerns. 1. For me, the seat is approximately 30 inches off the floor. 2. To sit on the seat, I must climb over the 12 inch high frame. There is not much space between foot pedals and the frame so I am essentially having to straddle a distance of 23 inches to be able to sit on the elevated seat. I will try and see if I am comfortable lowering the seat. I did purchase the cushion that was associated with the Teeter LT3. I'm glad I did as the seat is hard. I know the seat does not swivel, am not sure if someone else would be able to get on the seat easier..I am not able to at this time. The above may appear that I do not like this product. I do like it and feel it will be extremely helpful to me. I just am extremely careful getting on the Teeter and feel this is a safety issue. I was surprised that I received the Teeter LT3 one day after ordering. I did watch a u tube video finding that extremely helpful. It took approximately two hours to unpack and put the Teeter LT3 together, with 2 people. I am 5' 7". Obviously the seat would be lower to the ground on a shorter person. Seat is easily lowered etc. I did not have any pain or pulling on my shoulder or leg/knee joints during or after using. I am looking forward to using the Teeter LT3. Seemed to be quiet. After I purchased the Teeter LT3, it was advertised for a lower price, I contacted the company and the price was honored. Awesome. When I purchased the Teeter LT3, I would have been responsible for returning at my cost.. so I would certainly think carefully about this item. I would like to have been able to see this set up. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I do not know the accuracy of the odometer reading. It says that I had gone 2 miles in under 30 minutes at a slow/ low resistance pace. I did give it a 4 star because of the seat height and having to straddle the base. The Teeter LT3 is extremely sturdy and I do believe is an awesome product.

I was in Physical Therapy for six weeks for sciatica. I wanted to get my steps in, but I couldn’t walk for very long because of the pain issue due to the pinched nerve. This has been wonderful. I can get in my steps without any pressure on my lower back. I got the $850 version, I’m 4 feet 10, 116 pounds. I love it and it does the trick. It’s a quality piece of equipment and a great value for the money. It was fairly easy to assemble and only took about four hours. I highly recommend this.

I purchased the LT3 a year ago and could not be happier with it. I used a similar piece of equipment during my cardiac rehab care and fell in love with it. I was skeptical to buy this machine due to some of reviews but decided to give it a shot and wait to share my experience and give it a fair review. I have several arthritic, autoimmune diseases, had a triple bypass at 48 years young, gained a ton of weight in a short period of time and needed some exercise that would be easy on my lower back, knees and legs. This machine is perfect! It's easy on my feet, knees, hips, back and still gives me excellent exercise and movement. My husband did the assembly within a hour and he had no issues. This machine is whisper quiet and comfortable. I do wish the seat would swivel and the display counter would light up, but i can live without that. Since my purchase a year ago, I have lost 55lbs and VERY pleased with this purchase and plan to use this machine for many years.

It's an excellent machine very well. Made the only thing is that I am 5 foot 4. And the seat does not come up enough for me, not on the slide part. But the back rather wise, it's a great machine. I use a pillow on the back

Was easy to assemble, well organized package, great for all in family, compact overall size

it is not hard to put together. the paper instructions are very good, just follow them in order. it is working really well. it is box really good. it will take some patience to unbox but will be in perfect condition. use your own tools. for you people who cannot pound a nail in the wall to hang a picture pay someone to put it together. it is well built and quiet. in my opinion it is way better than cheaper sun models.

I got my machine and my husband and a friend put it together in 2 hours. So I started using it 3 days ago. It is a very well made machine and strong. Right now my right foot is not up to par yet as at the end of April /24 I broke 3 major bones in my right foot, so in May/24 I had 2 foot surgeries to repair the broken bones. I still have pain with that foot. So I ordered foot extenders to stabilize my feet on the elliptical, which I think it should be provided with the elliptical machine. But over all the elliptical is smooth and very quiet. So far I am doing quite well with it.

I recently developed a spine condition, so I was looking for a machine that would be gentle on my spine. The FreeStep LT3 is just perfect for that. At first I was concerned, because the machine I received had a huge dent in the frame, and some scratches on the inside of the flywheel. I spoke to Amazon, and sent them a photo, and was told to return it to them in the original package and they would refund my money. However, this machine was so well packed, I was not able to repack it in that way. Amazon offered to give me a $100 coupon as recompense. I then wrote to Teeter, and they immediately responded. They asked me to continue assembling the product and assured me they would stand by their guarantee if it didn't work properly. Thankfully everything worked as it should, and I am so so happy with my LT3. I use it every single day, and my body feels more relaxed and agile.

While t did take a long time to get, it did arrive within the time frame given. By following the instructions closely, it went together without any problems. It's easy to use, very stable and so quiet that I can watch the TV without raising the volume.

This machine is very good, easy to use and quiet. Easy on my bad knees.

The instructions on assembly are easy to follow -the bags of screws are labeled for each step. It will take about 2 hours to put together
