This is basically the tried and true method to learning Japanese. Obviously you have to put in more work than just reading a book, but as far as grammar points go (and especially if you're self-learning) this is the way to go. I literally went to school for East Asian studies with a focus on Japanese and my Japanese courses followed this. My college was primarily online and I wanted a physical copy so this is why I went ahead and bought them myself, but they were backed by my professors with incredible credentials who were also Japanese natives. If you're trying to learn Japanese, this is the way to go
If you want to be n4 and you're already in n5, this is a great book for you. This is basically the tried and true method to learning Japanese. Fabulous Japanese textbook
Finding a Japanese teacher with good understanding of the grammar and decent teaching skills is hard, but this textbook has all of that. As a linguist, I highly recommend it. Good explanations, good vocabulary, good exercises. Challenging but very useful audio app as well. The one thing to note: It takes no prisoners where reading (and writing) Japanese is concerned. You have to learn to read as you go along or you'll be lost.

Great Japanese Textbook
This is the 2nd textbook/workbook in the Genki series. It’s recommended to finish the Genki 1 book and matching workbook before moving onto Genki 2. The Genki series is published by the Japan Times and is a reliable source to learn Japanese. The third editions do not come with CDs but do include QR codes to download the apps. There are 4 different apps for kanji, vocabulary, listening exercises, and verb conjugations. I highly recommend getting these apps and using them along with the textbook and workbook.

Genki é um ótimo livro para GRAMÁTICA japonesa
O genki é um livro ótima para o aprendizado da língua japonesa, amo esse livro mas concordo que para praticar fala, escrita de kanji ele não é um bom livro. Mas não me arrependo de o ter comprado pois aprendi toda a gramática do N5 e estou na metade do nível N4.
