Just as good as ever for gunsmithing work. Excellent for wood repairs and glass bedding. Mix with some sawdust to renew a worn out bolt or screw hole in the wood. Don't use too much of the coloring, a little goes a long way. In 15 years of gunsmithing not a single wood stock me and my boys have repaired with Acraglas has come back to the shop. At least not for the wood being problem.

The absolute last word when it comes to glass bedding a rifle or to make a permanent bond on a project needing gluing together.

Perfect for glassing in a new Boyd’s stock to my 1903 30/06 after the original cracked. Read the directions and take your time and do all the prep work and the actual pour is pretty easy. This stuff makes JB Weld look like play doh.

This worked well for bedding material and the dies will match darker color woods. It is extremely runny when first mixed, so I would recommend letting it sit for 10 to 15 minutes before starting to apply. You will know when the mixing cup starts to heat up. When it starts getting warm, you will have about 15 minutes where it is still workable. Adding the fiber material provided also helps with the consistency. The release agent is decent and I would use a minimum of two thick coats. Shoe polish also works well, but it can stain wood. It is all a messy process, so take your time and mask off ANYTHING you don't want to make this on. Also, take your time when cleaning and sanding. It's easier to slowly take away a little at a time, rather than take too much and have to add more back.

This is really good stock bedding, however I do believe the gel (green box) is better to work with, if you do get this keep in mind it is runny and alittle harder to work with, but for all intended purposes you really can't go wrong this kit
