Lovely coffee table and very sturdy but the top of it is awful. I only put a glass of juice on it, it left awful ring marks and chipped the wood off. Avoid!

The table-top veneer is only paper
I assembled this coffee table without problems and it looked OK. For the price it was functional and attractive. Unfortunately a couple of days later I was cellotaping some packing and stuck some tape on the edge of the table. To my horror, when I picked up the tape it tore off some of the surface of the table. The table-top finish, which looks like a durable veneer, is simply patterned paper. It is not a durable worktop. The table-top is now spoiled.
