Worked for Synology DS2419+ Serial
I bought this to connect to the serial port on my Synology DS2419+ that was having boot issues. I wasn’t sure if it was this or a crossover. This was the one that worked. Connected to the Synology and the other end to the USB to Serial adapter and set the terminal baud rate to 115200 and was able to get to grub etc.

Might work, but NOT AS ADVERTISED !!
Purchased these cables because it clearly states on the website and on the packaging (see my photo), that ONLY TX/RX data and signal ground wires are connected. It even mentions '3-wire type'. That means 3-wire only right? WRONG! Yes wires 2 and 3 are crossed as they are supposed to be and pin 5 (ground) is connected straight through. HOWEVER, pins 1, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are also wired straight through. BE WARNED! They might work for you, but if you only want pins 2, 3 and 5 connected as advertised LOOK ELSEWHERE.While I'm on the subject, read on my photo of the packaging, item #4. That has absolutely no meaning on a molded cable. You don't have access to the wires and don't have any need to solder to them (and what difference does it make what color they used in a molded cable?)
