    Interesting Mix of Styles

I heard some of Caro's songs on Pandora  (although I don't know why it was on the "Uptown Funk" channel!) and liked them a lot, so I bought this CD.  It's an interesting mix of different styles.  It reminds me a little of Pink Martini.

This 71 year old was dancing all over the house to the stunning tunes on the album!  I found Caro by chance while cruising Youtube.  How could I have missed this (a 2010 issue)!!  Lovely CD, beautifully packaged. Emerald has a great, highly-trained voice.  When oh when will she come to the States to perform?  We need the relief from seemingly endless Hip-Hop rut. This album has lots of class and retro-with-a-twist jazz/swing/mambo/tango/bluesy flair!  I highly recommend - for ALL ages.  My granddaughter loves it.

Caro Emerald is one of my favorite pop jazz singers. Her style is very Euro and her band is unique, using electronic effects along with unusual musical instruments. This interesting musical backdrop supporting Ms. Emerald's great vocals are a delight to the ears.
