Generic replacement for Mitsubishi HC1600 projector lamp bulb with housing

This bulb lasted exactly 8 hours! Because I purchased it as a spare and didn't need it until after the warranty had passed, the company simply said, sorry about your luck! Like many of the other reviews, for the 8 hours that the bulb actually worked before exploding in my projector, the color was not as vibrant and the light was not as bright as the bulb that I was replacing which had over 6,000 hours on it. In the end, you do get what you pay for. Do NOT purchase from the company, ELECTRIFIED DISCOUNTERS! You will have better luck using O.E.M bulbs and may find a company that actually sells and stands behind quality products.

I ordered one a while back, and the projector just let me know it expects a replacement soon, so I ordered another today; hopefully the seller keeps carrying these, it's great to have a dependable source for this high-quality generic bulb.

Didn't expect much from this bulb, knowing it was a generic replacement for a model that no longer offered new manufacturer bulbs, but not only did this not register to the projector as a new bulb, which means the "replace bulb" warning was up the whole time it was installed, but it also burned out after 3 months of use at only about 8 hours per week (just long enough to not be eligible for a return but nowhere near a reasonable life for a projector bulb).

I'm disappointed in the product as I was hoping it would be as good as the original. It isn't, but I can't say I expected it to be because others who bought the replacement lamp for their HC1600 shared similar reviews and I read those reviews before purchasing. If your projector is in a location where you have complete darkness you will notice the diminished brightness but the product is acceptable. For those of you who have windows in the room where the projector is, I would recommend NOT purchasing this product. Rated OK, rather than poor, because the price was great compared to the OEM bulb from Mitsubishi which is over $300. You get what you pay for.

This replacement bulb has only been used for a short time, so I can't comment yet as to it's longevity. I can say that installation was very simple (you will only need a Philips screwdriver), and the replacement fit easily in the projector. To reset the bulb timer once you have turned the projector back on, simultaneously press the <, > and Power buttons on the projector for about 3 seconds. Our projector is in a room with a moderate amount of outside light, and the bulb seems to do a good job in these conditions. If there are issues with the performance over time, I will update this review. For the price, it seems to be a good value.

Worst peice of junk ever!!!! This bulb worked for one day and then burned out. I contacted company to replace it and they said to contact Amazon. Amazon will not replace it. I am so mad that I got ripped off. Do not buy this!!!

It worked with no problems! Took it out of the package, fit right into the projector and it turned on!
