You can buy more leads, but part of the reasoning here is they get lost stolen, given away so quickly it is good they are cheap. I used to use these for trim carpentry as I needed fine lines for accurate cuts. Lost or crushed was not that uncommon either. Different tools for different jobs. **Q: Can the eraser be replaced? I’m having a hard time finding them.** A: A regular cap eraser (for wooden pencils) works in a pinch. I have done it many times. **Q: Are replacement erasers available?** A: Please note that not all BIC Mechanical Pencils are considered refillable. But the price was great for the quantity, and it was worth a try. I am happy to be pleasantly surprised. Especially, oddly enough, with the quality of the erasers, which actually erase!
