The item is fine. Works exactly the way it is described in the sales description. I’m very pleased I was making pasta which is usually a major stove top cleaning event and it is not boil over.

Works well when placing one in a bowl containing liquids and placing in the microwave to keep from boiling over.Also works well when placing in a pot on the stove.

I couldn’t be without these. Things boil over so quickly, drop it in instantly stops. Lost last one so happy found on here.

Simply uncanny! Perfect stocking-stuffers for all your friends. I use it to boil anything starchy: pasta, potatoes, and even vegetable soups. You just have to make sure that the disc rests on the bottom of the pan before you load it up with the ingredients. Not sure what the material is, but it is practically indestructible and dishwasher safe. It will get discolored slightly after prolonged use with tomatoes, beets and other strongly colored products - but without any adverse effect on performance. (I have not tried it with milk, but believe it will work as well)

They accomplish what we wanted them to accomplish

Pure magic. Every time I use these my kids ask what it's made out of and why it works to not have the pot overflow when making pasta or steel cut oats. It's nice to not have to babysit my pot and have a product that actually works. I don't need three of them tho... I ended up giving one to my sister and one to my mom. Would be nice to have a cheaper option to just buy one.

I didn't think this would really work but it does. Put it in the bottom of the pot and boil away. Pasta, potatoes, boiled dinners - I have tried it with all these and nothing has boiled over. I did use it for a corned beef boiled dinner and the pottery took a little scrubbing to get all the residue out of the design. I did not notice any audible cue when the water started to boil.

These are a handy device for stopping boil overs when cooking pasta and rice. They are nice and small and will fit easily into small pots. They will store easily as well. Keep these handy items by your stove, so easy to reach when you are cooking. Start off with high heat, put these in, then turn the heat down. I think you still have to keep an eye on them, as every stove element is different. Remove with tongs. Really nice. Washes easily too

If you have trouble with water boiling over onto the heating element, when cooking pasta or other foods, this item is for you.Just put the disk into the water and relax.Not recommended for cooking soups or stews.
