I have used them around my house with success before but this time I purchased them to place around a chicken coop. We have a serious problem with ants not only in the run but inside the coop and nest boxes as well. The chicken feed is crawling with ants and chickens can only eat so many ants. I placed these outside the exterior walls of the entire coop out of range for the chickens. In four days I’ve noticed a major decrease in ant activity. Before if I set down a bag of feed outside the coop door there were ants swarming it within minutes. Now there are just a few appearing in the same amount of time. These are effective but I know for a fact from use around my house that they do not last as long as stated on the package.
