How does a 45 lb plate not hit the inner thigh with hip width stance?

Hello, interesting question. Since an Olympic weight plate measures 18" in width, the shoulder width stance of a 5' 10" and taller athlete would not likely make contact. Of course arm length would play a role in the equation as well. But even for shorter lifters one must remember with the unit extended from arms the plates would hang at about knee level at upright point of movement. What is the difference between using a ez squat plate load or a trap bar/hex bar for doing squats?

Hello, great question! For starters convenience. EZ SQUAT Plate is a small, light weight and easy handling piece of equipment. Simple to set up and use for anyone. Which is more than can be said of heavy, awkward Trap/Hex bars. With regards to function, EZ SQUAT places users hands in the traditional barbell dead lift position. The weightlifter preferred hand position. Quite superior to the Trap/Hex bar 'hammer' style grips. Lastly the EZ SQUAT plate load positions users arms & the unit directly in line with bodily center mass. For safer, and more efficient loading of muscles. It does not seem like you could get enough plates on this to get any benefit.  6 45s is only 270.  Can you fit 4 100s on this?

Hello, thanks for question concerning load capacity of our hot selling EZ SQUAT.  As for the answer it depends on the thickness of the 100 pound plates. Since there are numerous brands that all vary in thickness the safest answer is 3 possibly 4. But understand when squatting wide, low, and slow (3-4 seconds to lower), and by not locking knees in top of movement, EZ SQUAT will make good use of the 270#! In other words it's a real mass kicker!
