Kryptek Men's Cadog Shield Pant Highlander

This are highly durable, well-made, and very comfortable. These are adjustable around the waist and knees that gives a snug of a fit as you prefer. Knee pad inserts came with the pants but the knees are padded as-is. I found that walking long periods with the knee pads may build up an extra bit of sweat in that area but are not uncomfortable. The existing padding of the pants without the pads is still very nice when taking a knee to shoot or crawling into a good position. These pants have a ton of zipper pockets which are great. I absolutely love these pants and their matching Cadog Jacket. I wore these comfortable with only a light base layer on underneath and was content on a cold 20 degree midwestern morning. I’m sure these will hold up great and be perfect for my trips further west in the mountains given that I add another heavier base layer underneath. I am 5’11” and 170lbs and ordered size Medium for the pants and the jacket and they both fit perfectly - tight enough to be functional but loose enough to be comfy.

These are my go to pants in mild to chilly tempatures. The soft fleece lining paired with a merino wool base layer allows me to sit in tempatures around 30 degrees without an issue. I was hesitant about the included knee pads at first but you will forget they are even there. Kryptek put a lot of thought into these pants. There are pockets in all the right places for gear. Water proof and warm, you can't go wrong with the Cadog series.

I wore these for my October Elk hunt at 10,000'+ in Wyoming. These should be considered a cold weather pant. They are built like a tank! If you plan on walking a lot, you will heat up pretty fast, if not overheat! I wore boxer jocks with these, no thermals, and it was too hot when moving, but when I was stationary, these are just right staying warm and fuzzy.

Poor sizing and not a good value

Fit well and kept the cold and cool air out and the heat in. Paired well with a light-weight be related and the cadog jacket for upper warmth. The adjustable waist size allows room to add layers when needed or tighten them up when reducing. All the pockets you could want or need. Overall probably the best mid to late season pants I could own.
