Pokemon + Tekken= Pokken. Also, I fancy "Pokemon Tournament" to be both ambiguous and boring. No doubt the makers of the game felt samely. **Q: What are the controller options available other than the game pad and the special controller?** A: Pokkén Tournament-Compatible Controllers:- Wii U GamePad- Wii U Pro Controller- Classic Controller Pro(A Wii Remote Controller or Wii Remote Controller Plus is required to use this controller.)- Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad **Q: does it work with an american wii u?** A: Yes, this is the North American version of the game. It has Japanese writing on the cover art just for show and is called Pokken as a combination of Pokemon and Tekken (the fighting game series). **Q: how many characters in the game** A: There are a total of 16 characters (at release). There are two Pikachus and two Mewtwos, which might seem a bit "lazy", but each of them still has a different playstyle and attacks, so you can still count it as 16. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pokken Tournament - Wii U Standard Edition - StarFox Zero - Wii U - LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Wii U Standard Edition --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/25208691-pokken-tournament-wii-u-standard-edition](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/25208691-pokken-tournament-wii-u-standard-edition) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
