Works perfectly.
Put it in a Dell R710 server to hold an SSD for my OS install. It interfaced perfectly with the CD Drive connectors and it read the drive with no problem. No slow down on R/W speed either.Well worth the small amount of money.

Good fit, and it works well
Replaced HDDwith SSD, and I used this caddy to replace optical drive with the old HDD. Easy to install, make sure the 12.7mm is right for your computer. The other size is 9.5mm.

Worked with a small annoyance
This worked in my Asus ROG G75. The only minor issue I have is, the screws included in the kit are too small. On the underside of the case there are 4 holes in the frame to secure your ssd to the frame. The screw holes in the frame are larger than the heads of these screws. I would still purchase the item again, and it does what I need it to do, just looks like they didn't look at their own design when they provided the screws.

Works in Acer Aspire V3-572-734Y
When I replaced the original HDD in my computer with a SSD I saw that there was a bay where Acer could have installed a DVD drive but had not done so. With this caddy I was able to reinstall the old HDD as a secondary drive so now I have lots of storage and am using the HDD to reduce writing on the SSD so it should last longer. For the cost of the caddy I got an extra terabyte of storage on the computer, not a bad deal. The only thing I was not entirely happy about was that I could not find a way to secure the caddy directly to the computer. It's not the caddy's fault, just the way Acer built the computer. However when I put everything back together, the keyboard seems to hold the caddy firmly in position. I have traveled with the computer and moved it around and I don't see any sign of the caddy shifting in the computer.

Fits perfectly in converting Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF Optical Drive into 2.5" Disk Caddy for SSD
12.7 mm height is perfect match for Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF PC. Swapped out CDRW drive for a 2.5" SSD and should be able to fit a regular 2.5" HDD as well.Has an LED to tell you it is powered on and a faux eject button to mimic an optical drive bay.Another big reason to like this is that you don't need to swap the fascia of the optical drive as this one has a faux one built-in and looks perfectly OEM without branding or wording on it.I am turning two of these PCs into cheap HTPC eSports gaming PCs. This adapter allows safe and easy integration of more modern hardware to replace obsolete older hardware and make a 7 year old PC still functional in 2020.

The LED activity light was a nice touch. I would buy this again and I ...
A very simple type of product that should either work or not work. This HDD caddy works. Usually, they always work but I chose this one due to the price. If I could change one thing, I would allow the caddy to accept the laptops dvd face cover. For aesthetic reasons. I ended up modifying this caddy with hotglue and the oem faceplate in order to make it look nicer and be flush with the rest of the laptop. My final suggestion would be to shorten the screw sizes that secure the HDD into the caddy. When I anchored my HDD the screws stuck out just long enough on the outsides to prevent me from inserting the caddy into my DVD port. I ended up having to remove the screws in order for it all to fit. But this may just be my laptop that's the issue since all laptops are not built the same. Just something to be aware of.The LED activity light was a nice touch.I would buy this again and I would recomend it to a friend

Very Nice
Extremely well made. Trying to add a second hdd to my son's HP 8460P and almost didn't succeed. Once the new hdd was installed in the caddy and replaced the original DVD writer, it was a simple matter of choosing the correct device to boot. I was simply pressing the wrong key and that was the problem.Very nicely constructed like the OEM HP DVD burner that it replaces. A really pleasant surprise for such an inexpensive but worthwhile adapter. Ideally a nice way to add a Linux os to a Windows 10 computer. The two tiny mounting screws were uniquely long and easy to lose. Please note that they only fit as a pair on one side of the adapter. Perhaps including ones with flatheads would make life easier. Note that it lacks a screw lug to fasten your adapter to your motherboard unlike the OEM product.2/28/18: Just received my second one. Changing hdds in my son's laptop is so incredibly easy.

Got a one-off or these are just poorly made. Works fine on an HP EB 2570p.
The caddy comes in a plastic bag with some mounting screws, very basic packaging. The caddy itself, poorly made. The sheet metal all-around wasn't formed/bent fully, so the fitment of everything is off. The faceplate shouldn't even be included unless it actually fits your machine since you'll have to swap the faceplate over. Removing the faceplate from the old DVD drive can be cumbersome, take your time. Due to the poor manufacturing, the faceplate mounting slots are just crap. But it works. I used a spare 500gb HDD I had laying around and it worked fine. If there is an OEM solution to adding storage for your application, buy that instead even if used. Hopefully I got a one off, I've bought a few Zheino products and this one made me genuinely disappointed.
