I need to reconnect two sections of a 16 awg twisted copper wire to repair the loop of my dog fence. would this kit work? thanks

I have connected sections of fence together using these connectors and have never had a problem. Just follow directions.

Sorry, I don't know. They have worked well for my buried wire that was broken and I had to splice it.

Are the wire nuts large enough to tie 3, 12 ga wires?

yes. But it is a tight fit. I had to use 3 12g to form loop around my house

Any tools to help me find the break in my undergroynd fencing?

I bought the PetSafe Wire Break Locator. It worked for me. A tree root had grown so big, it snapped the wire. It would have been difficult to locate without the tool.
