I really enjoyed this

This book was really good , it went into detailed about how he lived his life and his. And how he described the people he was with it book was really heart touching , I could personally relate alot to it. It broke me when I came to know that he died after writing this book . This is a non friction book really well written

I dint have words to describe it. It was a very eye opening book. Made Me change my perspective. And it touched my heart.

I bought the book because the name of the name of the anime character was inspired by an author so I'm hoping that when I read the book I enjoy it

Ho preso "No Longer Human" ( "Ningen Shikkaku" o anche detto "Lo Squalificato" in italiano ) perché amo la letteratura giapponese. Dazai è di gran lunga il mio autore preferito perché nei suoi libri puoi trovare la dura realtà dei fatti. Questa edizione inglese è decisamente migliore di quella italiana ( essendo stata tradotta direttamente dall'originale ). È un libro semi-autobiografico che narra la vita di Oba Yozo, un uomo che si sente lontano dall' essere umano, e non si può adattare agli altri. La sua vita è una messa in scena per compiacere gli altri. Il libro è introspettivo e racconta i fatti dal suo punto di vista, con i suoi stati d'animo ( sempre pessimistici sulla vita ). Non è una lettura per i deboli di cuore perché esprime in modo violento le sue emozioni e la sua rassegnazione al mondo. Io l'ho letto in due serate, è una lettura veloce e coinvolgente che non annoia ma che ti tiene con il fiato sospeso fino alla fine. È uno dei 10 bestseller libri in Giappone anche al giorno d'oggi, un classico imperdibile che non uscirà mai di moda. La tematica trattata ci può riguardare da vicino ( come nel mio caso ) e allora la lettura diventa ancora più comprensibile, dolorosa e sensata ( perché in certi punti i suoi pensieri possono essere difficili da comprendere, a meno che non si abbia esperienza personale, o che ci si impersonifichi nel protagonista ). Un vero capolavoro da 5 stelle meritate!!! Osamu Dazai è il migliore, a mio parere, nel trasferire emozioni così potenti al lettore. #masterpiece
