A roller coaster ride into the future of Tech. Hold on tight!
Loved the book which read like a feel good / optimistic and thrilling blockbuster movie. It moves at pace and makes a strong argument for how we will see more innovation and change in the next decade that in our parents and grand parents lifetime. The big idea of the book is that the law of accelerating returns will compound the transformation from convergence of a number of individual exponential technologies from hyper connected with 5g, ultra fast fixed to Cloud, AI, AR/VR and so much more. If you are interested in the future of technology and the impact it will have on our world then I am sure you will enjoy it too.

A roller coaster into possible futures
In about 300 pages (including dozens of notes & index pages) the authors take the readers on a roller coaster into the future. Starting with autonomous, electrical vehicles and other likewise technologies which are on the verge to enter the stage of our world, covering shopping, advertising, entertainment and healthcare closing with the five greatest threats for our planet and our species, which could cause great migrations, a bunch of great visions is presented. What I really liked is the setup of the book, the sequence of the topics presented, possible impact on traditional technologies, the society and us as humans due to the combinations of the already technological developments which are already taking place (like 3D printing, virtual reality, electrification, smart devices etc.). What sounds like science fiction is already taking place, billions of US$ (or €uros, RMB...) are already spent to put those ideas into reality, I was also surprised how much of these ideas are available to humanity (mostly for individuals with a big bank (or cryptocurrency) account). The before mentioned notes and index section help with numerous further books or links and, this is where I was really surprised, to lots of scientific articles, which really dig deep (like the materials used for future solar cells). The language is vivid, the enthusiasm of the authors regarding the topics can be felt in each and every page. I can recommend this book for persons (like me) who are curious about the time to come as well as readers who like new input / ideas to think about.
