Cosmos 1 Pair Black Color Replacement Earpad Ear Pad Cushion for Sony MDR-7506 and MDR-V6 Headphones

These are very comfortable and they do fit my Sony MDR V6’s. However it is a very tight fit and difficult to get them on. This is the second time I have purchased these because I’ve had my headphones for many many years. I actually ripped one of the covers this time but I think they will stay on even with the rip.

My old, original pads were crumbling and itty-bitty chunks of them were shedding all over me, so at just $7 I had to see just how good or bad these new pads could be. First, they fit my 20 year old Sony MDR-7506 phones just the same as the originals did... perfectly! The foam padding is about the same density, maybe slightly firmer which feels nice (keeping in mind the old ones are 20yrs old). This restored the isolation of phones... it's great that outside sound is blocked out like it's supposed to be. In center speaker area they have the same acoustically transparent cloth, except that on the back/inside they lack the thin (3mm) acoustically transparent foam backing. This has no affect on the sound for me, after all the foam was acoustically transparent. :) I just couldn't see paying $20 to $35 bucks for pads when these were available for so much less. Best of all my phones are like new again, and for just $7... cool!

These are Ok replacements for my Sony MDR-7506. Not as comfortable as the originals. They are a tad smaller than the originals, so they tend to press on the ears more (the originals went around the ears, these barely fit). I cannot wear them comfortably for longer than an hour. I am not complaining as much since the quality of the originals is questionable (the black cover starting peeling off at the seams on the originals), but these look to be well made and cheaper! Unlike some other reviewers, I did not have any issues putting them on. Just slide in on one side and pull till it fits on the other (they don't rip as long as you are within reasonable limits of stretching them). Pros: - They are cheaper than the originals - Seem to be built a bit better than the originals, especially the black cover that goes on the cushions. Cons: - smaller than the originals - tighter around the ears since they are smaller, so not as comfortable

I finally decided to replace my old original (flaky) MDR-V6 earpads with these. Based on some of the reviews I was reluctant to purchase, but am now glad I did. The quality of them feels great and compared to the originals I'd say the foam on these isn't quite as squishy, but that doesn't prevent them from being comfortable. Over longer periods of time wearing them they feel about the same as the originals (my ears get hot). If you're considering an affordable replacement for your headphones you can't go wrong with these. Check out the pictures for comparison. Install: Took just a few minutes. Yes - it is a tight fit as to be expected so they don't slide off, but I was still able to install them easily with my hands. Be patient and careful and you have nothing to worry about. You don't need a special tool.

They fit perfectly, however, be aware that they do change the sound of what you’re hearing. Your sound will sound more mono than stereo when you’re wearing these. I’m a broadcaster and there is a definite difference in the sound. The screen must be a lot thicker than the Sony sets?

Got these to replace a set of crumbly, flaky ear pads on a set of very old Denon AH-D950 headphones. I was surprised they fit and though they're a hair smaller, aren't quite as comfortable but at least it gets this set of headphones back into the rotation. The sound appears a bit more muddy and less crisp than the stock sets, which is probably attributed to the foam type, but given the choice of having these sit and collect dust or using them, it's a no brainer for this price.

I needed new covers for my Edifier Bluetooth headphones as mine were falling apart and didn't want to break the bank to do it. These were very slightly large on them but they work fine and are very soft. I can thoroughly recommend them as they work perfectly and are great value. I imagine that they will work as long as the originals if not longer. Very happy with these!

You can almost say these fit on my Sony MDRV6's. They are much smaller than the original; changing these headphones from being almost over-ear to being definitely on-ear headphones. Bass response and comfort is reduced greatly now because of that and the thinner, stiffer padding making for a poor ear seal. Looser fitting on the headphones themselves than the original covers (they rotate freely even when installed properly). The only thing these have going for them is price. That said I'll be continuing to order the Sony originals from now on and call this a lesson learned.

Did not fit my Sony earphones. Could not use them.
