Sterilizer works well but the small blue sponge collects debris really fast. I clean it daily but that does not prevent waste from building up inside the UV-unit. Since this unit cannot be opened, you cannot clean it. One it is clogged, the pump stopped working. The fact that you cannot replace bulbs, but only the whole UV lamp housing is a major flaw in my opinion. I used it in a reef tank to combat dinos. It made the dinos decrease by around 80% or so. It did however stopped working properly after 2 months.

Upon opening the pack it seemed the perfect size for the tank. I plugged the transformer in, turned the switch on and there was a sizeable spark from the transformer that tripped the fuse box with smoke pouring out of the transformer. The biggest disappointment was no interest shown by the retailer as I was hoping they would help sort out the problem and send out another transformer. Instead absolutely no interest which tells me this is a brand and retailer to stay away from.

It had a US 110volt power supply so I used a travel adapter so could plug in to AU 240volt power socket. Worked for 2 minutes and burnt it out.

Funciona muy bien, el agua verde fue eliminada por completo, pero tiene demasiados cables y conexiones lo cual lo hace incomodo y muy poco estético.
