Looks ok on the phone. Adds a bit of a bulk but its fine considering the protection.

Love the colour and the robust feeling of the case. It comes in 2 parts. Initially I had to remove (with difficulty) the harder outer shell to be able to charge it. The lightening connection didn’t fit in properly with the shell in place. Don’t try doing this if you’ve just had a manicure too…! However I took off the hard shell case to charge it and when putting it back on out the bottom (charge point) in first then did the top. The inner case doesn’t fit perfectly first time, but once you push and and pull it a bit it’s fine. Just glad I don’t have to do this every time I want to charge!! Initial 1 star review revised upwards!

Case itself is very nice however the case will cause any screen protector to lift on the left hand side.

This is the first OtterBox I have owned (after 4 iPhones) and I am so glad I finally broke down and bought one. The price was actually really reasonable for an OtterBox, and the case itself is very sturdy. I also love the way it looks! My ONLY complaints are: (1) it is a bit difficult to get on the phone, so I can't easily switch cases and (2) it DOES stain if you wear it in your jeans pocket in new jeans. I read this in one other review, but no others; I found it was true when I wore a newer pair of black jeans. The color did come off mostly, but the rubber part has a little bit of almost unnoticeable staining still. However, since I love this case so much, neither of these issues were enough for me to rate it lower.

For the money especially, this is a great case. Unlike the defender series or others like it this doesn’t have the P.I.T.A. two-sided case that locks together and is difficult to remove. Some reviews say it’s hard to put on, they’re clearly doing it wrong as it’s VERY easy. It’s a 2 part design, so while it comes together, it’s key to put the rubber part on the phone before snapping the hard plastic cover in place. No doubt people saying it’s a tight fit tried both at once. That’s more difficult and puts strain on the plastic. I’m the worst about dropping my phone. ai must have dropped it (iphone 8) at least 75-100 times minimum, and I don’t even worry about breaking anything anymore. The lip of it sticks out just enough to protect the screen, and the dual layering is ultra shock absorbent. It’s also pretty thin considering the amount of protection. I gave a 4 for durability and sturdiness as over time the outer plastic snapped on me and the inner rubber cover has a few worn areas, but at $20, replacing wasn’t particularly bothersome and it certainly lasted a good 6-9 months of hard use - better the case than my screen! Still a 5 in total as sometimes something has to break, and so perhaps it’s better being a little less sturdy. To anyone asking, of course it fits a 7, there is no big difference in the shape of 8 and 7. Idk if the lip would protect the plus as well since the screen is bigger, but that’s an overall risk the Plus phones have. Finally, I wish I could rate Amazon delivery separately. If you live in a city apartment building or even a house and won’t be home, they don’t bother reading delivery instructions (which always has info to access my mail room / lobby). It’s probably Amazon’s fault for having impossible schedules, but the drivers will *sometimes* try to buzz once (not always), then ignore the delivery instructions and leave the box outside if you’re not home or can’t answer. When I wondered where my replacement case was, a quick review showed some lady walking by, noticing the pile of boxes left, and took a couple small packages on top before walking quickly off, one of course was mine. Almost more infuriatingly, customer service put it down to “delivery error” and said they’d blame the shipper.. yet Amazon is the shipper. So they blame themselves and do nothing to fix it, and outsourced customer service means people that can only answer a few basic questions before they get confused and off script. This time they promised me they were working with delivery drivers to fix the problem, yet it’s been happening for at least 2 years. If my neighbors didn’t look out for each other and bring in anything left outside, much more would have been stolen by now. And still they have my sensitive door access info, which I don’t give out lightly.. and never use it. How it’s cheaper to replace these items than just fix the problem is beyond me. My advice, if 1-day delivery is an option, is to buy it alone so as not to make the $35 minimum and let UPS handle it, since their drivers would never leave packages out on a city street (they also take note of info like door codes, how crazy). It’s to the point where if I see Amazon shipping I dread it and have to try to stay home. At the very least a notification saying the package is outside for anyone to take would be a start. That’s enough about Amazon shipping, just on my mind since the first order got stolen. UPS safely brought the replacement though

I love my otter box. I got a navy/dark purple color and the shade looked even better in person! My previous phone shattered due to a cheap case that offered no protection whatsoever. I decided I wasn’t going to take any chances with my new phone and bought this case immediately. 4 months later and the color hasn’t faded and there are no obvious scratches on the case. I will always keep my phone in an otter box from now on!

I love otter box and although this is the older version case I like it a lot. The price point is great and the colour is vibrant. Highly recommend, would buy again.

Ordered this because I got a new iPhone 7 after I shattered my 6 and the case didn’t fit on my new phone that well. The old case overlapped the bottom of the camera so I got this one because it was very similar to my old case I loved. The only thing is that the plastic on the outer layer of the case isn’t as long on the sides as my old one use to be. It made me worry if it would be as sturdy as my old case. So far though I’ve had the case for a few months now and it holds up great with me dropping my phone and my daughter constantly throwing it on the floor. Update-love this case! After leaving my phone on the hood of my car without realizing it while putting my daughter in the car I left my phone on the roof. I drove through an intersection and it fell off and sat in the middle of a busy intersection for almost 25minutes and I’m very sure in that time a car had run over it because my screen protector was completely shattered. There was a small crack on the inside of the case and it didn’t even crack to the outside of the case. The only thing that happened was my phone got very slightly bent probably from a car running it over and because I had a pop socket on the back but my phone is still fully functional and it’s all thanks to this case and my awesome screen protector! Ordering this again because after dropping it a bunch of times after it being run over the small crack has cracked all the way to the outside of the plastic. Still the crack is only an inch long on top and still protects the phone.
