Excellent Design, But the "Extra Large" is Very Small *by M***H on Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2019* This is the tiniest "Extra Large" of anything that I have ever seen. The seating height is only 15 inches (38 cm), which is 3 inches (7.6 cm) shorter than a standard chair seat height. The top of the bar is 16 inches, but the actual seat is about an inch lower. But it is a very efficient design -- lightweight, and very quick and easy to set up or fold up. I got it for tourism with someone who has joint problems, because being a tourist often involves periods of waiting or resting. She cannot stand for extended periods, and has difficulty getting up and down from low seats. She managed to use it, but only barely, because of its short height. If you look at the seller's photo of the muscular man sitting on it, that will give you a feel for how small it is.Nonetheless, I like it a lot! I am considering modifying it to be taller, with additional aluminum tubing. But really, the manufacturer should offer a substantially larger size -- at least standard chair seat height -- and should label the sizes more accurately.In short: an excellent product, though calling it "Extra Large" is quite misleading. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ extremely light and easy to pack - this urban sketcher approves *by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2019* This stool is a big upgrade than my larger tripod stool I used to carry for Urban Sketching outings. I bought this one because it's one of the lighest you'll find on Amazon, and it packs up small enough to fit in my carry-on luggage. When I was out and about, I just used a carabiner to attach it to my bag. It's very comfortable but small seat, low to the ground but not too low. It's comfortable enough that you aren't thinking "I'm on a stool" all the time, and you can focus on whatever you're doing, whether it's sketching or watching a baseball game. Great to bring along for travelling so that you can sit anywhere. I sat by the Amstel, the Rhine and the Danube in perfect comfort with my stool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little trail luxury *by J***F on Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2020* After hiking 40+ miles on a section of the PCT in WA state, this is what I needed in a lightweight luxury item.I was first set on a backpacking chair, and Amazon has some under $40, for around 2+ lbs.However, this stool is so much easier to stand up from, or even sit down on, then the low height of a chair, which if your muscles are sore, might require a sideways tip out of the chair.I am 5'11", about 200lbs, so I went with the Large. The XL will give you some more seat room and some height, but I wanted to stay under 1lb in the pack weight.A hack you can do is buy a square of 1/8" EVA foam from your craft store. This will help with the edge of the seat where your thighs rest.I was able to stretch my legs forward, lean down to setup my stove and stretch my lower back.I found after some trial and error at home, that it was easier to leave it assembled and strap it to the outside of my pack.
