Simple to use, no setup at all, priced right and works - Great!I love this Remote!When I opened the box and saw 'just the remote' - no instructions - nothing! - I was upset. I had to use my own batteries! he unit comes with No batteries. So far - so bad! Then I put in batteries - and pressed 'On' Expecting disappointment as I hadn't gone through the usual 'setup' to select the correct TV etc. as most universal remotes do. But this one - just worked! I don't know how - but just by putting the batteries in - it worked with my TV! I bought it mostly for the Backlit feature - which love. Being able to clearly see the keys is big help esp. when watching at night. I remote works perfectly. I do like it very much and would absolutely recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. Update: Arrow buttons stopped working with no damage to remote, all other buttons that previously worked still do other than these, disappointed. Pros: Very nice feel, buttons are easy and just large enough, my last remote they were so small I was always hitting wrong buttons. Lights up good. Put batteries in, pointed at my Samsung Curve and it immediately worked. I love this!Cons: Don't expect any of the actual Netflix, Amazon, web etc. buttons to bring you to those apps, they do not work nor do the the a,b,c,d, but, (whoever knows what these are for anyway??! If you do, please share!) I really, really bought this remote because of that feature so I could easily access those apps or I'd give it more stars as that is very misleading. You can still manually choose your app, but if you accidentally click on the wrong app than what you wanted by mistake, this remote didn't allow for me to press return to exit as my other remotes have, I had to continue to enter that wrong app then go to their exit app button.All in all, I would suggest purchasing this for a basic remote as it is large enough to manage buttons and they are easy to push and react nicely and the light is a great function, but don't buy for the direct app button functions as you'll be disappointed.As always, directions would be helpful should programming assist with the non working buttons but were not included.

Update: 01.29.2023***********************It drains AAA batteries fast. Put in brand new Alkaline AAAs at the start of Jan. In 3 weeks, batteries were pretty much gone and remote didn't work anymore because weak batt. I only used this remote at night for the light function. Perhaps these brand new AAAs from Costco were bad? Also, a couple of the buttons started to feel less responsive. I will continue to monitor the batt situation and update in the future.This universal remote works well with all three of our Samsung TVs. I bought it mainly for the backlight feature. Please see the BIG difference: Put in brand new AAA x 2 for both the OME remote and this universal one to compare. The OME remote on the left has little light and it is hard to see in the dark, despite with brand new AAA batteries. The universal replacement produces brighter light with more coverage. Much easier to see in the dark. Some buyers complained the buttons are getting less responsive in time. I do notice the "Mute" button is not as sensitive. Most of the time, I had to press it 2, even 3 times, hard, to mute the volume. Had to take one star away. For the price and the backlight feature this universal remote is pretty good.

Fantastic full featured remote that is pre-programmed for Samsung TV’s. At a great price! They are better than the mini remote that comes with Samsung TV’s OEM. I purchased 1 for each Samsung TV and VCR I have.
