The 7 1/4 is great for larger jobs. The 5” is small, but opens to a generous 7/8” or 23mm. The 7 1/4 opens quite a bit more at 1 1/2” or 40mm. The 7 1/4 has the scale for metric and inch printed on either side. The 5” doesn’t have a scale on it. Both seem to be very high quality.
