I have been using WD-40 since July 2024 for various home maintenance tasks. After almost 2 years of usage, here is my honest feedback on what works and what doesn't. What works perfectly: This is a lifesaver for door and window hinges. My cupboard doors became incredibly smooth and silent instantly. Another area where it shines is the Kitchen Chimney—it cleans the greasy chimney filters within minutes, making them look brand new. It's also great for loosening jammed locks. Where it struggles: I tried using it to clean the hard water stains on my bathroom taps, but I wasn't very satisfied. It takes a lot of rubbing and hard work to get any shine on the taps. For heavy limescale on bathroom fittings, it’s not as effective as specialized cleaners. Conclusion: I am 100% satisfied with its performance as a lubricant and degreaser for metal parts. It's a must-have tool for every home, provided you know its right use. Pros: ✅ Makes hinges and locks super smooth. ✅ Cleans kitchen chimney grease effortlessly. ✅ Very versatile for car and home maintenance. Cons: ❌ Not very effective for deep cleaning bathroom tap stains. Verdict: A solid 5-star product for maintenance, just don't expect it to be a magic cleaner for bathroom fittings!
