are these flexible to use like if you want to paint on a round object ?

YES, "Mr. Pen" Landscape Templates are flexible enough to wrap around a cylinder? I wrapped the template around a coffee cup without any problem. Not sure how small a wrap or for how long before the template will no longer lay flat.

does this set have 2 or 3 templates the picture shows3, but the discription states 2. I would like to get the rectangular one but would buy the set?

It comes with two templates. The third image you see is both of the templates packaged. It’s a very useful set. One of my best purchases.
