There is conflicting information here. does this fit and work with the series x elite 2 version if you use the paddles also?

I use the mix amp with an elite 2 controller with all the paddles equipped. Hope that helps

Does your game audio go through the headset?

Yes it does. Sometimes though you have to unplug it from the controller and plug it back in to get it to work.

Does the mic come out of the headset?

Yeah, you can pull it off easily. I use them as regular headphones all the time.

so by plugging the headset only into the controller i hear both chat AND game volume? how is that possible without any connections to the tv?

It comes thru the xbox. It gets all the data thru the hdmi
