No more bobble head!
My husband and I recently took a trip to Florida for our anniversary. We both LOVE travelling to new places, and we both HATE the process of getting there; hours on planes, trains, and airport benches. If you've ever tried to sleep on a plane, or sitting in a chair, you know what I'm talking about. Your head flops around, side to side, forward and back, and you can never get good quality sleep, plus you wake up with an extremely sore neck! This pillow will solve all of those problems! I have used travel pillows before, and they were better than nothing, but nothing to write home about. This one though.... This one is different. The memory foam contours nicely to your head and neck, while being firm enough to keep your head in a comfortable position. The material is soft and does not irritate your neck like some pillows I've used. It's got a nice little elastic band on it which makes attaching it to your suitcase handle while navigating the airport a breeze! We both agreed it was the most comfortable and pleasant traveling experience we've had so far and now we never leave home without these babies!

Could be firmer. But certainly useable as is.

Best Pillow for the Price
Purchased this for my wife for our 8 hour plane ride. She loved it and was very happy with the sleep she was able to get while using it. It came packaged in a clear plastic bag, without any type of carry bag. There is an elastic strap on the back portion for you to drape over the handle of your carryon for ease of carrying through the airport, but you will have to find something to do with it when going through security. The outer material is a soft microfiber that feels good to the skin and neck area when in use. The memory foam is springy and returns quickly to original shape. I did not notice much of a off gassing smell when I opened the bag and my wife never complained of any smells either... it was more like the smell of a plastic bag/cardboard box. I started to take the cover off of the pillow to see the inside, but noticed it didn't come off extremely easy and I didn't want to hassle with it to put it back on, so I didn't take it all the way off. It will come off if needed however and I imagine it would just take a little extra work to get it back on and into place. Overall for the price and free 2-day shipping with Prime, I don't think you can beat this pillow!

Will never do a long-flight without this ever again...
First a disclaimer - I have owned this product for only about 3 weeks so this review does not comment about its durability. About neck pillows in general: I live in the US and travel back to India almost every 18 months so every so often I find myself trying to spend a night on the airplane. The first 4-5 times I thought this was a pointless accessory for the weak (I'm a good sleeper), but last year's flight wasn't all that pleasant - not enough sleep and a stiff neck after the flight. So I figured I'll buy a neck pillow this year and see how it fares. I'm happy to report that it was a fantastic decision! I slept MUCH better and cut down on neck exhaustion a lot. If you have guaranteed window seat then maybe you won't need it as bad since you can lean on the side. But if you are in any of the middle seats then this is a tremendous help. Yes, most long flights supply their own pillow, but that's pretty darn useless behind your head. This time I realized that if you have a dedicated neck pillow, you can use the airline supplied pillow as a lumbar pillow instead. That lets you slide down a bit more and become a even more comfortable. Yes, there is a small downside that you have to carry the pillow with you. It can be a little clumsy pulling it out of your carry-on as you are trying to get into your seat or carry it with you as you enter the gate etc. but its totally worth the trouble. Air vs. Memory foam: I have never used an air pillow, but I have a strong feeling that it won't be as effective as a memory foam pillow like this one. The memory foam provides much better support as your neck changes position as you sleep. You might be persuaded to buy an air-pillow for its low space consumption in your bags, but remember that memory foam can be squeezed a lot so you can pack it into a much tighter space. I had the pillow stuffed in the outer pocket of my garment bag - so about half it's usual thickness. This product specifically: Worked very well and no major complaints at all. The only minor gripes I had are that the cover, though soft and nice to feel, smells funny if it's moist. I was traveling to India in the monsoon season so it got really humid and smelled a little weird when I took it out of my bag. But after 30-40 minutes in the dry flight air and it was back to normal. Also, would have been nice if they provided some sort of cord/band/thingy to attach it to my carry on instead of me having to make my own arrangements. It does have a small loop that you could possibly use if you had your own cable or something.
